Hello All, any other website for QR interview preparation besides lpj.com available? I recall someone mentioning another site but I can’t remember, searched the thread but no luck finding anything. DV. |

If I'm not wrong they give you around 300QAR and a welcome pack with basic groceries at your accomodation to help on your first week in Doha. You also have the option to request for a salary advance. As far as I know... there’s no option to remove or take company accommodation unfurnished... maybe you can have a conversation with the housing department or your HR joining coordinator to confirm. I do know of folk who have either entirely remodified their Villas/Apartments to their own liking (these tend to be people who intend to stay in their places long term) and I know of someone else who just wanted to change a couple of things e.g the beds... so put them in some kind of storage or a spare room. Whether everything would have to put back in place as they found it if/when someone leaves who knows... in the first case I think it would take too much work anyway and because these folk have stayed in their places so long... I believe they would be prepared to take the hit if they had to. |

quick question about Doha assessment event. Is it an elimination day as it goes by or they let you through the whole process, and advise you later after few weeks, if you made it or not? Any tips how to prepare for QR interview and sim, aside from studying Atpl sample exams? Are they into asking about Mcrit, or sweptback wings etc? Any info very much appreciated. thanks, dc |

In the past it was elimination, if you failed the tech exam, or panel interview the process stopped. I can tell you they have a new manager, from outside company, in charge of recruitment and the whole process is being changed, just not sure of the time frame.

What kind of rosters they get now still brutal?
and is it worth it to move to QR from a flag career paying 1500€ for FO in a country cheaper than qatar? Thank you |
I´ve just been to the assessment and it was a pretty good experience overall.
Its still elimination if you fail the ATPL exam, and now they have also added another step in the selection process - a so called panel assessment. The simulator was as described on other websites. I am waiting for news, they said it could take up to 2 weeks. Then holding pool which could be up to 6 months for Airbus pilots, shorter for Boeing. |
Holding pool of only 6 months for Airbus? Wow that's something new... I have heard of up to 2 years... So things are improving slowly...

Good morning all could someone share a month roster on 777/787, time away from Doha days on and off. I have read a lot of the EK posts, is Qatar roster pattern more or less the same?? cheers |

My schedule this month has flight then 2-3 days off, repeat....decent time at home, but definitely not commutable. |
