As this is a competitive process can I plead with any other applicants that will sit assessments over the next few weeks, regardless of FTO, to remain schtum about the process. I picked the first day of assessments and I wouldn't really like for the people on the last day of assessments to be in a class above purely down to the fact they were told what to prepare for.
Well, if BA and the FTO's do their job properly and police this site there would be a good chance of anyone who spills the beans having their application thrown out. BA are very clear that the application/selection procedure should NOT be discussed.

Seeing that the employer, British Airways have insisted in confidentiality, some of you are already posting confidential information!
If BA find out, I would not be sup prised if you were disqualified.
By failing to follow a simple and clear instruction, does not bode well for a career, where self discipline is paramount. If you cannot keep your mouth shut over a job application, how can you be expected to adhere to a approach chart, or the minimums on a Non-precision approach?

By posting in haste, you are doing yourselves no favour, heck one very recent is using his name, we know his age and where he is from. BA could very easily put 2 and 2 together.
You are foolish if you risk it.

I'm not sure, in a way I would rather just get it over with! Not sure how much preparation you can really do for these things anyway...

Kelben, mature now that's funny.
Okay so which bit of this are any of you confused about then?
Honesty and Integrity
British Airways places high importance on honesty and integrity within its recruitment processes. Whilst we appreciate you may want to discuss your application with friends and family please do not share the details of your application and any subsequent assessments with others, especially those applying for the Programme. Sharing details may compromise the fairness and integrity of the entire selection process. Furthermore, it could advantage other applicants and potentially disadvantage you. It may even disqualify you from the selection process.
I am not playing Pprune Police, I am just amused that so many of you, are prepared to risk everything, just for bragging rights.
More seriously, BA are expecting you to behave in a mature manner, ignoring a absolute instruction, nowhere does it say post details about dates, etc, ignoring such a simple instruction shows a real lack of self discipline, so what would happen if you were on minimum fuel at MDA and still could not see the ground?
Sorry but if you wish to join this industry, a awful lot of you are going to have to grow up very very fast.

Sparcky...

With respect, could you explain what it is that you find unclear or ambiguous about the follwing INSTRUCTION:

"... do not share the details of your application..."

I'm sorry Sparcky..but I can't tell whether your problem is comprehension or arrogance but either way, it does not bode well.

I am just saying that the information on this thread is no more than is freely available save that of people asking the question who has got a date its just human nature to worry and I beleive this helps those who have not heard yet.

Sparcky, you really won't let it go will you!
You refuse to admit you are wrong. British Airways have been explicit in what they have said. Whether it is freely avaiable or not is irrelevant, the point is that you are not to discuss or tell the general public about your application.
End of.
Your attitude will not get you very far in this industry, questioning every simple instruction. What are you going to go when a Captain rounds up a single engine acceleration altitude to the nearest hundred feet, tell him he is wrong!

CX you say in previous posts you only want to fly for Cathay Pacific, now you want to fly for BA.
If you cannot afford to go to your interview in spain, how are you going to pay for your training?

Why oh why after BA tell you NOT TO TALK ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION, you do?

Accepting other points of view as they are, even if you do not agree with them is also a important aspect of a cockpit career or ANY career really

but i'm sure Cortina will learn that in time too

Well if not and he keeps being like that and somehow manages to persuade an assesment comitee to take him, some Captain that he flys with might open the cockpitwindow ......... and close it again
I leave what happens in between to your imagination

Oh and for all that want to know a bit more about how the selection will be read this:

I just wondered if any of you have any idea how flexible the selection dates are? I had been under the impression that selection would be in October/November, but reading this it appears that it is starting a lot earlier. My worry is that I have a trip booked later this month to visit family in the US and I'm not back until 11th October. If I were to be offered a place on selection (I'm still remaining hopeful!) for a date that I'm away do you think that I'd be able to request a later date? If it came to it I guess I would have to cancel or come home early, but I'd like to think they'd be a little felxible, or is this unlikely?

Thanks

The reply i deleted was because it was also a reply to the other guys post that removed his because of you.

I just read a few of your posts and if you really started with already 33 and now fly for several years then you have my utmost respect! And i mean that!
I'm only a bit younger like you were back then and want to try something similar and hope i can make it...

Well but then i really don't understand why you "police" this thread so much. First i thought you were already at FTE assesment and now maybe wanted to make sure no one else gets to know anything that you did not know before you went, but as i see it you have not even applied to FPP.
Don't you have something more exciting to do or are you maybe sitting somewhere on duty where it's really sooo boring

City Chump, thanks.
But if these people want to tell the world the ins and outs of their application process, then that's their lookout.
I just found it amusing that they are having difficulty following instructions that are very clear, I hope they don't have the same problem with a Smoke Removal Check list in the QRH!
I am more than sure BA are policing this and will be using their prerogative to drop those that blab.
It is interesting to see, those who posted at the beginning regarding this are nowhere to be seen. Read into that what you will, but good luck folks.

For those of you who think I am a troll, or another desperate wannabe, I am neither, just another line animal who enjoys his job, the B737 is a great bird.
