Hi again guys....

Just put my bid in for my winter leave....
If everything goes fine I will be flying to dxb at the beginning of december and possibly have my interview there.
I know that when I am there I am always in a good mood and more energetic so hopefully they will notice it as well.

And if I am unlucky.....I think I am going to move there anyway.

Good luck to all of you who are awaiting the results!!!

i applied twice on EK online and the last time i applies was 5 of May 2005, as usual they gave me a reply that my application was received and if i did not receive anything from them after 3 months it means that i was not even waitlisted, I am working here in Saudi Arabia and i always go to Dubai, my question is if i go to there office as a walk in applicant , do they usually accept applicant and intervied them immediately? need your help on this as i am planning to go to dubai for Ek and to Abu Dhabi for EY

Question waiting...

Hi everyone

well there are only four days to go..and to be honest I am scared to death about going as well as being overly excited hehe I guess that is a healthy attitude though...

but I havent hread anything from ek in regards to flying over, getting tickets etc etc

The last thing I heard from them was a thankyou email that all my medicals were complete. nothing else since?

For anyone that has already moved to dubai...Is this normal? Or will they give me more info before i go??

Thanks guys

craic1510

p.s. skysista we gotta catch up before I leave...send me a text ok

Thank you!!!

Hello to everyone!

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU!!! to all of you. I have recently been advised that I have been successful in my interview as Cabin Crew and am going to Dubai in September. Dream come true!!

Although this is the first post I have ever written, I have been following your posts for the past 6 months. I feel like I have known you all for a long time.

Craic1510, email your HR officer and ask them when they are going to email you your E-ticket. I was speaking to my HR officer today and he said they would send it via email 5 days before departure.

If you guys have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! Its the least I can do.

thanks again!

From the open day, how long does it usually take to know if you have been selected for an interview? After the first interview, how long does it take for the one on one? SO basically I'm asking what is the span of days starting from the open day, all the way to the one on one? I'm asking because what if your flying for another airline already and you can't get certain days off and you might not able to attend a certain interview. Get what I'm saying? I hope so!! Thanx everybody!

@fly_guy100

After the open day they contact you during the afternoon in case you've been sucsessful (if they want you on the interview). Preliminary is held in most cases one or eventually two days after the actual open day (if they decide to make two groups depending on the no of candidates). So final ints. or as u say one to one (it's in fact two-to-one) are held after that, also depending on number of succsesful candidates that can last up to 3 days i guess...
So from open day to final, let;s say up to 5 days, or something like that

Thank you Mashco! I'm asking because what if I'm currently working for another airline and you know how airline schedules are, unpredictable so I was just thinking if I would be able to make it work to all of the interviews.

Hi guys...

Can't write for long cos i'm in a net cafe and have to come home to study...but I wanted to update u all

dubai is a fantastic place and dispite a few days of intense homesickness..I got through it and I'm doing well.

EK got out of their way to make you feel at home. I got an apartment with a girl from NZ and a girl from London that was at my interview in 2003!! Its in the tallest residential block in Dubai on Sheikh Zahed Road with all the other skyscrapers
It has a gym and pool on the top floor with an amzing view!

Training is going really well, started SEP already. Got our uniforms to strutt our stuff in too!

Dubai is hot I can't lie but you go from an airconditioned flat to an aiir conditioned bus and onto the training academy so it isnt too bad.

I'm having a ball, the shopping is amazing, the clubs are great and the sights are truely one of a kind! This is the start of a new life for me and I can't wait to bid for flights to Perth and say hi.

Keep applying guys..its worth it!!

Bye

hey guys...

well training is great so far. been in the simulator almost everyday this week and it is really realistic lol!

I haven't got photos yet but some of the other girls have taken some so I will see what I can do...

I had my first exam today...and got one question wrong! agghhhh I changed the multi choice question just as I stood up to hand in my paper...typical hey. oh well - I passed which is the main thing!

As for uniforms..yes we got them on out 3rd day I think it was. Great fun to wear - you walk different its weird... lol. Its not the most flattering uniform as separate pieces but all together it looks amazing as u know...and wearing the hat...well that just tops it off hehe

My apartment is a 3 bedroom place, with 3 bathrooms, living room and kitchen. Basically its like a blank canvass and you can make it your own with flat mates, with exception to painting the walls. I live with a girl from London and a girl from NZ - so mixed with an aussi you can imagine the party atmosphere hehe. My apartment is in the newest of the buildings, with a pool and gym on 53rd floor only down fall is there is no net access - you have to get your own - but i'm working on it.

May be back in town on my first few weeks leave about oct - so I'll be keen to share a few stories then lol...

OK guys I'll write when I can and good luck for those of you trying to get through the interviews...it is worth it!

Medical Question

How perfect does your health have to be? I know you can't have HIV. What other things will prevent you from flying for Emirates?
