yes, I advise including your online ref number as well.

I had thought I included mine on my CV (as it has so much more info about WHY you want to join EK, about you, etc etc) but sadly in my hurry I had printed the version without the app #.

Just remember they cannot access the online info outside of the UAE (or so one of the recruiters told me) but it will come in handy for them once they are back in DBX and reviewing - at least they have your 'further information' to look at.

So make sure you really shine in the online application part!

Best of luck!

Re-apply for cabin crew

Hi,
I am a new person here. I'm going to an open day in Cracow (26th of June). Four years ago I was offered a job as a cabin crew with Emirates but unfortunatelly I couldn't start that time. Now I want to try again and I wonder should I tell them that I was successful and got a contract or maybe not? Can u suggest me something? My second problem is my age - 31, but they sent me an invitation for an open day so maybe it means that age is not that important as I thought.
Good look to everyone

I was at the open day in Sydney last week, and someone asked them if there was an age limit. The recuitment officers said that there was not, and it was more about who you are.

I'm sure if you got through last time, you'll get through again. Just explain the reasons, and I'm sure they'll understand.

You have to tell the truth. They will ask you if you have been interviewed by EK before, and they have all your records on file, so will quickly find out anyway.

HELP!!

Hi all,

Is there anyone who knows whether you have to sit another hearing test when you get to Dubai?? Please please can someone tell me?

It looks like I may not be going after all. I have just failed my hearing test because I fall outside the requirements. Its not something I would notice because it is genetic apparently, and I've had it my whole life. I've also never had a problem flying and always thought I could hear fine. Basically its just certain frequencies that I need at a louder volume...so to speak. I am looking into it with the Doctors, and will be sitting it again to get a second opinion.

Thing is if I pass here, I am worried about getting all the way to Dubai and failing over there...

Please..anyone that is in Dubai or has flown with EK before...can you help.

to quote a movie:

"Never give up!! Never surrender!"
I say keep going till you know for sure, don't lose hope yet, you may find it has been a mistake or that as you've been crew before they may be willing to let you work - I mean, you've demonstrated you're capable, even had a few minor emergencies situations there if I recall correctly!! They'd be mad to let something little get in the way of having a fab crewmember like you!

Big hug and don't give up just yet!!

Exclamation Thinking of Joining EK? THINK AGAIN

I had suffered two sleep seizures two months ago for the first time in my life which led to my dissmissal just last week after been at home for the past 2 months doing nothing and waiting for them them to place me on a ground job.

They chose to keep me at home paying me only half the basic salary while I stayed waiting patiently by the phone each day for a ground placement, knowing that there are shortage of staff support in a few departments.

Finally they cause this big drama, while in the bathroom security was ringing the door bell and allowed himself in looking for me!!! Saying that I had to contact EK security and my manager immidiatly stating that they are been looking for me.

I contacted my manager's office only to be informed that I had to rush to the clinic for an urgent meeting. Only to be informed that Im fired on the spot 7 weeks short of completing my 3 year contract.

Due to this the company will not pay me any of my end of service benifits stating that I had not completed my contract. And was told to pack and leave as soon as possible.

Let me make it clear to you that you have no job security with the company and they can get rid of you at anytime for any reason they see fit as a cost cutting measurment.

I would also like to highlight that according to the neaurologist I am fit to work.

So Guys Think Twice.

Good Luck

If you start at the beginning of this post topic you'll find lots of info about the selection process...i know there are lots of pages but it's worth trying to read most of it to gain agood idea of what will happen on the day

Where is your selection day being held. I applied to emirates a few weeks ago but i'm still waiting to hear from them. There's an open day in Southampton, UK soon...anybody here going?

Good luck, just don't get or appear nervous
I recently went for interview with gulf air and the recruiters said that i seemed too nervous, so just relax and you'll be fine.

Let me know how you get on
PS- i think there are some books out there about cabin crew check out some internet book sites you can buy them off there.

Any way hope it all goes well

Question any tips for EK reapplicants ?????

Hi everyone! ))

I am the newest member of this forum, but I'd been watching it for some time.

A year ago I was applying for a CC position with Emirates, had my final interview, and then I had started to wait 6 MTHS !!!!!!!!! for the answer, which finally was NO. During that period I got 3 on-hold letters from EK, so I really believed that I got through... Eeehhhh...nevermind....

But I've decided to try once again this year.

Here are my questions:

DO ANY OF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT REAPPLICATION PROCEDURES WITH EMIRATES?

For the first time, previous year, I applied on-line using their application form, and then I got a letter of invitation for the assesement day in Poland. It took place next day after the "open day". But now I decided to send them my cv and photos by e-mail using their "fast track procedure for experienced cabin crew" but they sand me (and not only me) only system generated message inviting me to attend the open day. What does it mean? Does it mean that there is only the open day in Poland this year?

DO EK RECRUITMENT OFFICERS KNOW THAT I AM REAPPLYING?

DO THEY KEEP ALL MY DOCUMENTS AND WILL THEY HAVE THEM WITH THEM DURING THE OPEN DAY?

DO ALL REAPPLICANTS HAVE TO GET THROUGH THIS STRESSFULL RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE FROM THE BEGINNING?

If U know anything, please let me know. The open day is coming...

BIIIIG hug!!!! I knew it'd be ok!!!

(So it's 'party on', same date, eh???? )

So did they say why they changed their minds/ or was it just a long 'let's double check and get approval' waiting time???

I'm so over the moon for you, I want to send u a msg but you're probably asleep! So tomorrow morning then...

and not only is this a new innovation from our Australia's favourite men in a dish dash but you can submit you CV and passport photographs between 9:00am and 1:00am - gees that's a bit of a window might go at midnight and beat the early morning crowds haha.

I am sure it's a typo but curious as to what the difference is between an open day and a careers day.

Will see you there! I just want to fly!
