How do you know is A380 for those who have DOJ 7th of November? Probably we don't start with training right away as we have to do medicals and everything..
. Although I would love to be on A380...all the great destinations and more to come in the future! And loooong layovers

Come on, join with us, seriously...It's a lifetime experience and I guarantee you will regret it! I also have a decent life (and I am soon to be 27) but still nothing stops me on trying to see the world and live in Dubai (even for few years only)!

Happy to hear that everyone is receiving the GC and no rejection emails!!!
According to A380 or main fleet. You will receive an email which will let you know that you will be in A380 ab-initio, if you don't receive any email, you will be rostered on main fleet.
If you prefer A380 or main fleet I think you can post your request on the portal, and your recruitment coordinator maybe can do something for you.
From what I know, all the dates of joining have 7 different ab-initios, 1 for A380 and 6 for main fleet. So if you are joining emirates on the 7th doesn't mean that you will be on A380 course.
cabin8crew sorry to hear that maybe you are not coming to Dubai, seriously you should think about it, because if you refuse to come then you won't be able to join Emirates in the future.

I had heard differently, that all new trainees are main fleet with the option to apply for A380 after training, that is why I said there is a lot of rumours 
but ntello has a great point.
Cabin8crew only you can decide what is best for you and I am sure that lots of people have these doubts but I can only ask, why apply in the first place? You do have a fair amount of time to decide though.

Anicka the passport size pics they ask are 4.5x3.5 cms.
Guys, as for the a380/mainfleet thing, the last I heard was that they send you an email prior to your departure telling you if you were selected to be in the a380. If not, then you're main fleet.

I finally received my Golden Call yesterday after 4 weeks of waiting! So happy!
FI: 14th August
GC: 14th September
DOJ: 5th December
Had a text message this morning telling me to log onto my portal and access the joining formalities to start medicals, etc. I cant login it keeps coming up invalid email/password so i got a new password sent and this still isnt working.... just wondering if anyone else is having trouble logging on?? xxx

don't know why but the guy told me i have to be in dubai ASAP so my DOJ is 31 october (he wanted 24 but it's toooo early), anyone has the same date???

Lula87 the proof of employment, they are asking for something that proof that you are actually employed by your company. I handed in my Final Interview my last payslip as this is what I read on this forum, and they accepted it as a proof of employment.

MirelaRO The casual photos don't need to be full lenght. When I did my Final Interview they told me to send 3 casual pics, and I sent 4 just in case any of them was not valid... Non of the pics that I sent was full lenght.

About the pictures: they told us one should be in full lenght and not too far from camera (that you're not like tiny person on photo), one should be upper part of body. Both you IN FOCUS. Only one or two others can be on, but it must be clearly seen which one is you. No sunglassess, no hats. Smiling. And properly dressed (more is better). No drinking or ...! To my FI I took around 10 pics and they choose 3. But 2 are enough. Just take in consider all I just wrote about

I live in NY and am registering for the open call on Sept 24th and have a few questions I hope can be answered. Sorry if these questions may have been asked but there's so much info on here that it's hard to pinpoint exact answers...
I haven't finished my online registration because I'm taking my full length photo tomorrow. I know that's only 1 week left before the open call, will that affect my invitation? Do I need one or can I just show up?
For my head & shoulders shot, I am using one of my modeling head shots but I don't have a full smile and my hair is down in the picture. Does that matter? Tomorrow when I take my business attire picture I will make sure to smile. Should I wear red lipstick?
Also I'm curious why they ask for a pap smear for the women's medical.... what are they looking for? It's so personal

Has anyone got the HR number which was on the letter with the Final Interview details??
Got my Golden Call and my email asking me to print my pre employment documents and medical forms to complete but cannot log into the system it keeps coming up error. Tried emailing no response.
Cant find the number anywhere and i binned my FI letter :/

Newyorker212: You don't need invitation for Open days, but I do advise you to register online, cause it will come practical if you're accepted to FI and further. Iregistered online only 1 day prior to my Open day, cause you won't get any invitation but your status will appear "Applied". For photos: I do advise you to take the face shot at the same time as full lenght, cause you will need the face shot to be: with BIG SMILE, hair in bun (no hair visible on the sides), preferebly red lipstick. So your photo won't be OK if you make it to the FI. For the business attire: Hair in bun (no hair visible), no jewelry, standing straight towards camera (no side photos), legs straight towards camera, standing still, hands on the side of your body (there must be "space" between hands and body). Attire: knee lenght skirt, closed shoes with heels, blouse, elegant jacket, red lipstick (red nails or french manicure), tights in skin color.
