Amazingly enough they kept my same DOJ, which is awesome as I'm currently living in Argentina and I'm leaving with about 5 other Argentineans. Training won't be like the first day of kindergarten where you don't know anyone...I'll have some friends to sit with in class, ha!

yanqui wow!! that's amazing!! It's really good to leave the country with people that you already know!
But to have the same date of joining doesn't mean to be in the same ab-initio as they will divide you in 7 groups!! So you won't probably be in the same group!
Good luck!!
My date of joining is 31st of October!! I can't wait!

quick question is the reach test from 212cm to the tip of your fingers while on your tip toes? or your ability to reach something that is 212cm, meaning the palm of your hand?
sorry i keep asking i just couldnt find much info about the reach test.
oh and again is it one hand or two?
(sorry i know i asked this before but so many people post and my question kinda got swept away.)
Details please

Fantastic!!! We're the same, about 5 of us are leaving the same day... even though we probably wont be together, it is nice to know that there are people who you can see at the end of the day. Plus the long flight to Dubai will be much nicer with other people!!
Reach test: One hand on tip toes.

yanqui so you finally got your approval! I've just answered your PM! Congrats!
And here I am with headaches over the pics... lazy photographer never fixed them before printing and then I got stuck with crooked pics, and cracked floor in them. Luckily I could do it myself and print them again, thing is now they're not as good and the lines look weird. Well, that's that I won't print any more pics!
Anyone going to the prescreening interviews in Cordoba, Argentina this saturday?
edit: Do I have to include my application number (from the online app in EK website) in my CV?
edit again!: finally managed to fix my pics, I just had to tick an option when turning the image... *sigh* went and printed them YET again, but oh wait, they forgot to print the 10x15 headshot....

hello people
i wanted to know if you know someone who had to wait for more than months and got the rejection email. does a long waiting time means you have been selected and that they need to fit you in or they just forgot to send the rejection email. please help if you know something about it, thanks.

latina Sorry to hear about your rejection email, I thought they use to send the rejections emails earlier, not after 5 weeks....

hi
hi everyone I have a question about teeth! haha.
My teeth arent perfect - the front ones are kind of crooked, it is noticable but I wouldnt say it was really ugly. Its not like they are missing or anything.
I've been to 2 ADs and have been eliminated in the first rounds both times. Just wondering if people think teeth play a major role in their decision? My dentist has said it can be fixed for £1,000 and Im happy to pay that if its going to be a factor in Emirates decision but I obviously dont want to pay so much money if I could get into emirates without it.

soseck my ab-initio starts on the 10th November
sabmas what email do you refer? the grooming email or the email with the details for the medicals??
I received my GC on a Monday and they didn't send the email with the medicals until Tuesday, so I think it will depend on how busy they are...
I would recommend you to start to get some appointments with your doctor to make it faster, because they will just give you 2 weeks to complete the medicals.
Good luck! And see you in Dubai!
