Don't think this will last very long.... this airfield has had a very long and very strange (to me anyway) history. Wm Shakespeare never used it as far as I know

Auxtank,

Confucius he say " always have something ready up sleeve".

You're a poet and don't know it. ;)

Asters' game plan works well; post as tiny a pic as you can.

Looks like a C182 - so, still in use?

@dook - definitely - always useful on those occasions (myriad) when I've had to sing for my supper in some godforsaken place.

Asturias56 6th Aug 2019 18:06

I believe it is still in use but only very occasionally .............................. it was quite busy for some of it's life................

Auxtank 6th Aug 2019 18:11

Je pense nous sommes en France (avec, le weird funny barriers closing off the RWY behind the Skylane).

dook 6th Aug 2019 18:35

Maybe the Italian coast.

Based on the William Shakespeare reference - Stratford upon Avon ?

Good deduction. However, we've moved on to the next one which is the tiny photo posted by Asturias56 a few posts above.

@dook; looks like Asters has "nipped out". (Unannounced - which is most uncharacteristic! - what a Chinaman would call - in a game of Mahjong - A Hidden Pong!)

dook 6th Aug 2019 19:00

As in a wee nip methinks.

Auxtank 6th Aug 2019 19:02

Bang on target.
It's not a bad idea at that.
Cheers!

Those uniforms look like WW1 French, so is it in France ?

Asturias56 7th Aug 2019 08:01

Non, mais le français était parlé ici avec beaucoup d'autres langues

dook 7th Aug 2019 08:04

I have looked again and maybe the uniforms are American.

Asturias56 7th Aug 2019 08:07

Yup! Some of Uncle Sam's finest (& earliest) - but not just Americans..........

Auxtank 7th Aug 2019 08:07

Afrique du Nord?

dook 7th Aug 2019 08:10

Not just Americans you say.

Do I see Brits also ?

edit: Now I have looked at your second pilots image and I think the kit is from WW2 and is British Navy.

The plot thickens.
