No Sir, not that.

Responding StressFree's #146 :ooh:

StressFree 26th Aug 2011 13:02

Lakenheath, Suffolk?

StressFree 26th Aug 2011 13:28

Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, USA?

RegDep 26th Aug 2011 13:38

Not that, either.

StressFree 26th Aug 2011 14:11

Ramstein, Germany.

Fox3WheresMyBanana 26th Aug 2011 14:14

Kadena, Okinawa (Vietnam era)?

RegDep 26th Aug 2011 14:17

Not Kadena. The moronic Cold War era.

Fox3WheresMyBanana 26th Aug 2011 14:20

Moron air base, in not so sunny Spain then.

RegDep 26th Aug 2011 14:33

Exactly F3WMB, well spotted not-so-subtle clue :D:

Over to you :ok:

jindabyne 26th Aug 2011 14:48

Hatfield (sorry Fox3, your p-bucket gives it away!)

Fox3WheresMyBanana 26th Aug 2011 14:49

There's only a few places the Yanks can park that many tankers..

I'm new here, so you may have had this one,in which case let me know.

Clue: You would have found 'Cats-eyes' on the airfield as well as the roads

jindabyne 26th Aug 2011 14:54

Hatfield - as Reg pointed out below!

(can't fathom out why my replies keep appearing in the 'wrong' sequence?)

RegDep 26th Aug 2011 14:58

Nice to have you here Fox3WheresMyBanana

You'll find the list of previous posts in here http://www.pprune.org/aviation-histo...ml#post3884576, second link from top.

And another tip: Disguise your file names :ok:

Fox3WheresMyBanana 26th Aug 2011 15:15

OK, you've had the aerodrome above before (but maybe not that photo, so bonus points if you get it), but not this one.
Don't know how to hide image info - so don't cheat!. I once landed a Cessna 152 here.

Fox3WheresMyBanana 26th Aug 2011 15:18

Hatfield is correct Jindabyne - 'Cats-eyes' Cunningham was a test pilot here.
Also, my grandad did the electrics on Mossie engines here during WWII, my mum was a Tech Records clerk on the Comet, my dad landed a Tiger Moth here and I flew an F3 out of here in 1993 just before it closed. How's that for a family connection?

Feel free to take over, or wait till somebody guesses the other one. Sorry all for the confusion!

F3WMB if you use Photobucket, you can edit the file name before posting

http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/...26um174021.png

Don't forget to replace the previous file in Photobucket (otherwise you may get funny results). If you use something else, I am sure they have the same feature.

AND, please keep one challenge in force at the time. :ok: One challenge -> Correct answer -> challenge poster validates -> winner posts a new or declares Open House, which is the free-for-all to post.

AND don't worry, everybody is confused once in a while. Just the new ones are forgiven a bit easier :}.
