Now we're moving.
Iraq. |
Moving towards what appears to be Sirsenk Airport on the edge of Baghdad.
|
Good try but no.

Barmani airport near Mosul Nice challenge OH if correct SLB |
Siirte,Tina,or Bamerne...?
|
Barmani - built illegally by Turkey without informing the Iraqi authorities.
Nice shot SLB. :ok: Nine minutes late sycamore, but you might care to take the OH. OH has been called. |
Actually,it is/was known as Sersink/Tina/Bamerne...Went there once 06/`91,when it was `under costruction/destruction`to p/u some fella believed to be SH,who had a palace nearby...the`terminal` was made of `breeze blocks `and the runway was more of a dirt road...the area around was full of Kurds in large camps....It wasn`t SH,just a `lookalike`...
OH... |
|
" Burner wouldn`t light` says `dook`,as Jenks and SLB look on...!!
|
Perhaps we should enter this one in “caption of the week”? |
I warned you that the stall prevention system would cause disaster.
"crashed triplane" produces this: A.V. Roe stands beside his crashed Avro No.1 Triplane at Wembley, 24 December 1910 after attempting a turn. |
`Dook` looked a picture of sartorial elegance in his new flying suit and `turning-trousers`,but still found it difficult when taxiing..!
|
Dook you are totally correct Colour=left=0000 is logical as this picture is black-and-white! picture is also used by FlightGlobal when page not found: https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....000404f492.png Dook has control So I hope he handles next flight a bit better! Cheers SLB |
This Colour=left=0000 rubbish occurs every time I highlight a quote in my posts. I don't know why it happens. It doesn't when I post on another site.
However, http://i65.tinypic.com/2uy3n9w.jpg |
Hi Dook, that looks a little like a 1950's Dublin, but the large amount of aircraft and cars makes me less than 100% confident...
|
Hello jensdad.
Maybe you should try a very long swim…... |
Overheard in an Indian restaurant,"more Balti".......
Later...OPEN Door....! |
Very similar to the original 1950s design for Gatwick.
|
The design of the hangar and the large number of light aircraft, plus dook's comment about "a very long swim" make me suspect that this is a US airport.

Baltimore Friendship International. See Friendship BWI Baltimore Airport History
I can't take credit for this however, as Sycamore's earlier response seems to have been overlooked. |
