I'm new poster in this forum, but follow it with interest. May I break the rules and give you a Lat/long (Yes - tell you where it is!) and ask, with the identification, of any interesting facts/connections. It is at:
52 16' 47.9'' N
13 25' 46.6'' E

tower at the old Rangsdorf Airport belongs to the "Einfliegerhalle" of the Bücker airplane factory. During and before World War II this small airport was used by Heinz Rühmann, Beate Uhse and Oberst von Stauffenberg. After the war it was used as military airport from the Soviet Union.

Turnhouse?

Have been googling like mad and realise that it can't be. You chaps are just too good at this...........bu99er.

ICT_SLB 18th Apr 2008 02:00

If Dan d'Air's wrong, may I suggest the home of "les Gens de l'Air" - Dorval Landing Field - now CYUL Pierre Trudeau. (It's night on this side of the pond so please carry on whether I'm right or wrong).

PNGAir Upgrade

Hi Guys,

My web server crashed and I decided to upgrade the web site at the same time. In the process lost a lot of images relating to Papua New Guinea Aviation.

The upgrade also means you will have to create a new account to post on the forum or upload images. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If anyone has images relating to Papua New Guinea aviation or a story to tell, please come and have a look at the new site and perhaps join the forum and post some photos under the photo gallery.

The must be thousands of photographs out there that people would just love to see.

Thank you in advance.

Sorry chaps, it is neither Turnhouse nor Dorval Landing Field - now CYUL Pierre Trudeau.
Extra point if you identify the aircraft.:)

Not Europe or the USA. I am surprised that the aircraft has not been identified. :)

R.C.A.F Penfield?

Mel's Challenge

Not R.C.A.F Penfield. Sorry, when I said above that it was not in the USA I should have said the Continent of North America.

MYGF, Freeport, Grand Bahama?

MReyn24050 19th Apr 2008 18:26

Mel's Challenge

Not MYGF, Freeport, Grand Bahama con-pilot. To reach this airfield one would fly in an easterly direction from the UK.

con-pilot 19th Apr 2008 19:35

Okay, thanks. The airfield layout is about the same as Freeport's; well, from what I remember.
