Reg Dep / Chimbu
I took this picture in 1976 - the note on my silde says Hoskins - I have gone on google earth and have to admit that it may not be Hoskins - I have also checked out my old slides of Rabaul and it may well be it - so, apologies if I have made an error - If either of you can confirm it is Rabaul - then Chimbu has control
regards
Des

Thanks Descol,

The skillful cropout of 'the Beehives' (volcanic plugs rising out of the harbour) was a stumper.

Anyone lucky enough to live in Rabaul 'taim B4' would agree about the 'jewel of the Pacific' tag.

Try this one from the late '60s. Sorry about image quality.

Well done Des, Port Moresby Intl, Jacksons Strip, 7 mile. Bombed almost daily by the Japanese in '42.

You have control.

Oh dear.

It seems that this place we have had before. It is listed in Mel's list under a differant name though, hence the confusion.

If any body objects, I will delete and declare open house.

Clint.
