Chipping Warden then? But hang on, I've just noticed the horse race course round the perimeter; could it be Towcester?

Boulton Paul's field at Pendeford.
Can't find much to support it but I thought it worth a shot,

Not Stratford-upon-Avon or Pendeford.

There is no longer an airfield here now but a Municipal Golf Course.
The horse race course dates back to the 1770's.

Tack.

National Hunt? Racecourse? Municipal Golf Course?

It can't be Aintree (because it's not in the Midlands) - can it?

OBP.

Yes ! Well done sir.

Hereford. Horse Racing first started in 1771. The Civil Aerodrome opened on Sept. 18th 1947. Sadly now though closed and a golf course.

You have control,

Tacklebury.

Seacue, the North does not have trees, grass, and has very few paved runways. {North=North of 60}
