Correct! Sochi/Adler. AER/URSS

A certain Irish airline would be delighted with this airport. It really is the nearest one to Sochi, even though it's just a few miles from Abkhazia!
The picture was taken in 1995 when the old terminal (under the tower) was still in use. The new building was 90% completed but in the post-Communist turmoil they ran out of money and it hadn't been completed by that time. No doubt it will be in time for the Olympics, particularly since it is now owned by Mr Deripaska.

On my part, it is OPEN HOUSE, unless I42 wants to take my turn: his finding the trucks was a clever trick.

BTW, one can see the tower in a Sochi - Moscow video on Google Maps YouTube - ??????? ????-??????, the tower in the first seconds and later during the take-off run. The Airbus where the video is shot, stays approximately where the IL-76 in the pic.

The last one from my current "stack". Another one that is surprisingly not on the list.

Should be easy.

Shoot! Was looking for it in Western Australia. Thought the De Havilland DH 104 Dove in the picture used to fly from Perth....

Mr. G,

Yes, Yes, No

Flap40 was first with Compton Abbas. When I was there in April, the Dove had been moved to near the hangars and I was told it was being prepared for a ferry flight to Bournemouth for an overhaul. Does anyone know if it departed?

Flap40 has control.

I'm fairly sure that's Weston Zoyland in Zummerset and on Friday I'll be driving along the A372 which goes left to right through the airfield! OPEN HOUSE if confirmed as correct.
