Silhouette challenge
Good evening gentlemen.
Bollocks - try an Avon 301 series mate.
Better still try two, one above the other. I have flown the F104 remember.........rubbish................
NO TURNING PERFORMANCE - tiny wing look you.
Now then - try a lightly loaded wing of THE FRIGHTENING with over twice the thrust!!!!!!!!!
Wot have you tried?
Sorry DAvid but you really cannot beat a J79!!!

Now now boys, all this thrust envy mustn't scare the players off.
However, I must agree that noise isn't everything; I will always remember Beaumont performing very impressive and noisy routines at Farnborough in the mid to late fifties, balancing full reheat against the form drag in a ninety degree bank keeping well inside the airfield perimeter and crowd-line all the time, the 104 would be hard pushed to keep the same routine inside Hampshire!!

G'Day Graeme,
A good start to the day mate ; It is indeed the Armstrong Whitworth F.K.5 One of Koolhoven's less inspiring creations while designing for three companies based in England before he returned home and later set up his own company!
Noyade has control

Strewth!! 95 seconds eh; that's quicker than an Aussi innings mate
It has the look of a Vickers E.F.B.3 ? Dunno about the "Ashes" theme though, except that there should be skids on the landing gear, but maybe they're already under the Aussie team
Edited to say that your original looked more like my Vickers, but it obviously isn't that!

A better clue would be my Christian name.

No mate, I'm scheduled to go live later next week. Just dog (puppy)-sitting for friends and using their connection (fortunately, the little mut knew the password)! I did get your email (if it was the one about the Kiwi forum) and I did reply to it, but I was using a borrowed connection again with an unfamiliar mail setup, and I apologise if it didn't get through.
Back to the challenge, you say that "Graeme" is a better clue, is that another anagram?

Thanks for the confirmation, I was already looking for a Grahame-White Pusher, found mentions of it so far circa 1914, but no details yet and the mut wants walkies!

Thanks mate,
I'd say it's a Mosquito XE from Canada ?
I'll try and get some more images to you before I go today. None left by my reconing, so It'll have to OH if correct.
