Yes, it is powered by a flat-twin motor, streamlined pylon mounted wing, and built pre-WW.II.
Here is the motor that powered the mystery aircraft:

Good morning again evansb,
I got ovetaken by events yesterday after lunch and have only just managed to get back again, and only for a little while at that!
Where the heck is everybody?? I didn't expect to see this one still unsolved!!
Another timely clue to help though. I think that engine may be a Poinsard 25 hp and that challenge may therefore be a Brochet MB-30 ? Still seems a little elusive, will go and have a look at Fright Archive, now there's a date to look at.
That worked well, it's amazing the difference knowing the year and name makes wiley post | 1934 | 1169 | Flight Archive
I'm sorry, but it'll have to be another Open House please if correct, as I'm going offline now, probably until tomorrow!

I'm here Sinco - just haven't been online.
The Brochet MB-30 appears to tick the boxes (and I'm sure it is a Poinsard engine), but I would have thought the tail would have shown above the profile of the wing in the silhouette - the MB-30 does have quite a tall tail after all. I've been looking for something with a much smaller tail, or one with a horizontal stabilizer near the top of the tail?

evansb,
You have totally failed to nota bene that TC has requested Open House.....
....and I now note that you are off-line.
So I, on your behalf, will declare Open House.

Hello WK,
Nice to see you back on the thread I must say that when I looked on the active users list a short time ago and saw your name there, I thought that my challenge wouldn't last long, my only hope was that it was American and so not recieved too much attention, not so it seems! It is the Thalman T-4, well done
Walter-Kark has requested an Open House
