Good morning RR,

Judging by the large L/E fillet and the cowl shape, I think it might be the Juka by Jurgis Kairys ??

Thanks Martin,

I see that LM has been around this morning; but I guess he's back in class now, so I hope he'll come swooping out of the sun soon and launch one for me!

Are the Americans the only ones with tents then?

Isn't fishing reserved for weekends?

Yes it was mate. An operation four years ago has failed and the surgeon says further surgery is risky, so he's not going to do anything else.

I have to live with it.

There certainly is an element of Dastardly and Muttley about it, but the pidgeon would be quite safe as the aircraft was forbidden to fly by the company's flight department!!

Undaunted, the Chief Designer produced an improved version, which at least did fly, albeit not very well.

That is a correct assumption, although, I hesitate to suggest that the decision was influenced by the fact that the designer chappie was a foreigner

Great video !!

No background music, except what GE intended, with a great howl and almost as much smoke as a P&W (we used to say smoke Pratt and Whitneys, 3/6d for twenty)

Edited to say putting light out now, will be back in about half an hour.
