Looks like a Fairchild but I'm sure its not. But is that a Ranger engine?

Good evening one11,

I think the engine may be a Menasco and wonder if it's a Swallow C Coupe ?

I have found a photo on Aerofiles, it's taken from a slightly different angle, but it seems to fit fairly well.

Please declare Open House if correct, as I have to be off in a few minutes and haven't had time to get the answer/clues together for my next one fo send to LM. It looks as if I've missed a couple of interesting days!!

it's a Swallow C Coupe
One of four built - 3 for the US and one for Chile. SincoTC is correct and has declared Open House

You are not wrong mate!

People pissed and challenges which have dubious identities.

Nothing under the wings????
The reason I said that is that the Vigilante is usually shown with rocket pods under the wings. The NEDS (which is essentially the same aircraft) doesn't have them!

Anyway a good one - lets give this one a go:

I'm just about to have dinner now, so will check in an hours time.

What would Mrs Ken say it you told her you're going to have dinner at the computer?

I could end up wearing my dinner! She probably would have a lot to say - but very quiet afterwards

I feel awful then...we rarely use the "dining" table. We're the Australian version of The Simpsons....

Nice cockpit ID You're now aviationally ambidextrous!

(Aviationally?)

Want a clue? One of those involved in the design went on to better things, including involvement in several famous aircraft, both before, during and after WWII.

Nice cockpit ID
You could say I'm a cockpit Virgin! Only went on there as I saw your's was the last post at the time. Figured you were two timing us .

You ever been on What Aerodrome? I got a few last year but it was so slow moving - there'd be a day or so between posts

Not any more! Want a cigarette?

You ever been on What Aerodrome?
Mate, I couldn't identify a cockpit or an aerodrome if my life depended on it. But I have a lot of cockpit photos (books/magazines..and I'm sure you do to) and just thought I could contribute.
went on to better things,
Hmmm...what happened to the other guy?
