Thanks LM, You're are correct of course, the only URL and emails I saw on the picture I found were .ca and I assumed wrong, just a customer I guess!
I'm afraid I won't be able to monitor much this morning, it should have been OK, but as I was sorting out my next images I heard one of our machines chew up its ceramic spindle bearings at 15000 RPM, so I'm going to be otherwise occupied far a while. Bugger, it was only fitted in March and it's just had a measly 1200 hrs on the wing!! Oh well, at least it will still be under guarantee but it's the downtime that hurts!

Yes mate, it is under warranty, they only give them 2000 hrs, but in our experience they typically last five times that! Howver, being a weekend we can't conrtact the suppliers 'til Monday, other than send an email, which I'm going to do next.
It didn't seize-up though, it's liquid cooled and pressurised so that the coolant can't get to the bearings and the casing was barely warm to the touch. It sounded like one of the many silicon-nitride balls has broken up and caused a cascading disintegration of all its little companions. I just got a spanner on it and managed to turn it a little, it sounds like a tin of broken biscuits, which is a very good analogy of what it's become
at least we are never going to be at 30,000ft when something hits the fan (or the fan thingy bursts and hits something else)!
By my reconing, Reg is due back pretty soon.

And Sinco, you are correct, I was due back some time ago but the always-friendly cabin crew of one of my favorite airlines got an idea of striking (or the management of the said arline refused to grant their due requests - depending on the angle), so I am stranded up here with a couple of feet snow and -20 Centigrade temperatures.
Just had a peek through my son's computer on the Gentlemen of the Shadowed Aircraft (The Great Brotherhood of Felt Pen). You seem to be doing just fine.
Will be back in full circulation on Wednesday - as the Icelandic say "God willing and weather permitting".

Although flying what he thought was the finest British jet he was completely outclassed and outflown by the agile and deadly Boomerang. “Phucking hell!” screamed Ivan (in Russian) as cannon shells ripped his body and jet apart. Engulfed in flames the Lightning smashed into an unoccupied hill ending Soviet planned World domination and a brave Australian dipped his wings in recognition to the gathering grateful citizens below. For them it would be Merry Christmas after all, thanks to Australia.

No luck at lunch break so a little fishing, flat-twin or four? Ancient or modern? (Relatively speaking).
It looks like the wing is mounted on a streamlined pylon, in front of the pilot like the 1932 Mayer light 'plane, but it looks higher than that one.
