Okay then, one last stab before I go flying. The plane is apparently an early jet airliner design stuck on the drawing board and planned in metric units (if I decipher the numbers on the pic right). This rules out an American or British design. French post-war design maybe? One of the contenders in the bid that resulted in the SE.210? One of the several versions of the Br.798?

It is Caravelle-like isn't it? Sorry, not from France, Britain nor North America.

Good evening all. With the German connection, I'm guessing something from Russia/USSR...possibly developed from the Junkers EF132 albeit the wing looks like it came off a Beriev jet flying boat! From the silhouette it looks like there is a wing tank option. The glazed nose is very reminiscent of German design. Having said all that I cannot find anything to support my theory!

Skytrain10, I don't believe there was a Russian influence in the design. The chief designer/engineer never worked for Junkers, but was probably influenced by late WW.II and post-war western European and North American designs. The aircraft was to be powered by five Rolls Royce Nene engines.

Just to be sure - we´re talking about RR-made Nene engines, not the Soviet WK1 version? Tu.114

dash7fan is correct. The I.Ae.36 Condor II. After his work in Argentina, Kurt Tank departed for India and designed a beautiful jet fighter. Your turn.

Thanks dash7fan, the square topped stabilizer threw me a bit, until I remembered the model A.

Here is the next one.

Question

Could it be a Polish design? The wing looks a little similar to Puławskis PZL fighters. Tu.114
