Looks a bit like a Klemm with a Pobjoy Radial. Or an enclosed BA Eagle? Hmmmmmm....

Hmm! This has lasted much longer than I thought it would. Time for some clues.

In the summer of 1933 this aircraft won a continental European race, gained a world record in the same race (although not by the winning aircraft) and about six weeks later claimed another record.

The pilot who claimed both records has schools, roads and town squares named after them in their country of origin.

I think it's German, but I don't find anything like it when I search Heinkel.
Maybe built elsewhere with German participation.

Not a German aircraft nor is it anything to do with Antoine de St Exupéry and Farman. However with the last two we are in the right country.

The design is not unlike a Mauboussin but all the marks from that era (ie M120) appear to have open cockpits....

The Mauboussin M121/35 powered by the unusual geared Pobjoy Cataract 75-hp radial engine.

EvansB...Very impressed. I found the M121P with the Pobjoy geared engine...but that was open cockpit albeit looking very similar in design to the S'lands challenger. Never found the 121/35.......

Well done EvansB, it is indeed the 69 hp Mauboussin 121/35, as flown by Hélène Boucher on 2 July 1933 in “Les 12 heures d'Angers”. She flew 1645,85 km in 12 hours to claim the women’s distance record. A month, later on 21 August, she claimed the women’s altitude record at 5900 metres.

You have the helm.

Mel is spot on Only one FP-2 was built, in 1921, for forestry patrol work in Canada. In 1922, it crashed after stalling on take-off and sank into a lake.
You have control.
