There is a little similarity to the Supermarine 224... is that coincidental or was it built to the same spec F.7/30?

Many thanks one11, an interesting challenge. I always thought that the Bristol 133 looked more French than English, probably because of the gull wings.

Gloster F9/37 - Peregrine engined version in lieu of Taurus.
Was it built to the same spec as the Whirlwind ?

Apparently the Whirlwind was earlier, to F.37/35 , although it superficially looks a more advanced design.

yes, itīs the foldable fighter. An innovative attempt to get the speed of a monoplane and the field performance of a biplane. Flaps are SO last year...

You had me worried there barit1, I thought that I might have used it already. I can see what you mean, but they are not only different boats, they are also from different countries. The old challenge was a Honningstad from Norway and had sponsons instead of floats.
