Hi Doug and Noyade,
Funny how conflicting info can exist on a one-of-kind aircraft, in this case the Finnmark 5.
I understand it was known as the Finnmark 5A in original form with cantilever wings, large fuselage sponsons, 2-bladed props and that in that form it was a pure flying boat. The aircraft later had 3-bladed props and more conventional stabilizing floats under the wings replaced the sponsons.
It became the Finnmark 5A-II when the retractable u/c was fitted.
It seems all modifications fit, but the question remains, was it a flying boat first and then an amphibian, or the other way around.
I suggest the the one with the correct info will be given a statue.

We had it even more recently than that too (08 April 2010)! Even so I think it is the 214

I'm just wondering if it's a Siebel 204.

The Ikarus had two auxiliary small round intakes as well as the main cooling intake. I wonder if the engines were Rangers?

The plexiglas framing matches the 214 I think. THe engine intakes match the 214 too.

Actually you are right about the small intakes LM. Maybe this is a variant of the original? Or was it produced under-licence somewhere else?

Finnmark 5

one11, thank you very much for the info and chronology seems very logical.
Started at flying boat without floats, then amphibian and ended as flying boat with floats.
Thanks

Would you believe me if I told you I recognised the white-haired gent at right and then I found the aircraft?

The Praga E-51.

A nice challenge and a good crop by Richard. I was convinced it was a 214 and many things matched! RR

Hard to tell from the above, but it's a "pusher."

Just found the same photo of the real one in a book. The Tatin-Paulhan Torpille, with pusher prop mounted at the extreme tail.

OH if confirmed
