Hi LM,

That tailplane shape makes me think it's an Austin Osprey Triplane (AFT3) ?

Yes, it's very distinctive... but distinctive of what?! You may well be right.. I've no idea... RR

Actually I think it is, the image coming from aviastar which LM has cunningly edited and tilted to avoid us remembering the profile so easily after surfing the net!

Thanks LM,

I found the image you just posted on Austin Memories. Your earlier "atmospheric" Lightning shot was great and brought back fond memories of the good old SBAC shows where the passes were LOW and fast

Unfortunately, as usual I'm off in half an hour 'till this time tomorrow, so it'll have to be Open House again!

Just taking a moment to see what happened overnight. Re Post 6304, No offence taken Skytrain, I only felt confident because RR had rejected Graeme's offering early in the day, and then just before I left, I found the actual challenge photo and cut and pasted it's title (which is usually a "cincher"), I did originally post a link, then had second thoughts and removed it so as to not blow RR's good looking source of challenges. It was only up for a minute or so but LM was on QRA and spotted it before it went and seemed equally convinced.

I was half expecting RR to give it to you as you had mentioned Magni much earlier and its whole identity did seem a bit of a grey area.

Anyway, speaking for myself, were only doing this for a bit of fun and I've got no quibbles at all with RR's decision.

Howdy Wayne!

This is from the movie "Transformers" where the B-2 bomber transforms into a fricken big fighter. You can make the pre-transforming origins of the B-2 visible using my X-ray programme...

Looks like this:

Found in connection with Korea's AFX programme. Like a B-2 meets F-117 meets F-22!

Kind of like Noyade's description!
