Blimey Mate, you're up early!
You got me pinned, totally dedicated to the thread. There's nothing else in my life!

Obviously I haven't seen The Spy Who Came in from the Cold in yonks. I just thought he was a spy based in East Germany. Personally I thought Burton was overrated, but everyone's a critic.

Personally I think the wing leading edge has a familiar look about it...
To quote Pauline Hanson, "please explain."

It's got a radiator in the leading edge, and a certain Fairey design had the same.

Fairey’s O-21-44 Torpedo Bomber
As far as I know, that didn't have a contra-rotating prop.

How about a Fairy Naval Attack aircraft then?

Well done Graeme, I think you have it!

I've just been sabotaged by having to restart our server cos the connection slowed to a stand

Bingo !!!!!!

(...but your illustration is not the same aeroplane.)

Google image:

Fairey twin merlin project, and look at page 1.

The descendant of British prisoners has the thread.

Looking at the timing, I should clarify that I mean Noyade.

TC,

I know exactly how you feel Mate. Fortunately working from home doesn't involve a server.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. I hope you're better losers when we reclaim the Ashes!

Tell you what Sinco, I wouldn't have got anywhere without your "Fairey" post, so have you got one to post?

LM said, "As far as I know, that didn't have a contra-rotating prop".

I think that came from the page you got the image from, the page below shows the projected torpedo bomber with the contra-props, although neither got built.

AeroScale :: British Secret Projects of WW2. Vol 2 by Peter Allen
