Sorry for being late ,it's Spring here today :good weather for walking.

Skytrain is right
:it's the Nennig C.3 , NOT "Maillet-Nennig " for this time Nennig worked with it's pilot Guy Bart ,who put some money in the project too , and Régnier (motor),Ratier (prop) ,and Messier (undercarriage ) helped .It was too late to fly before the "Coupe" ,and Régnier ,Ratier ,and Messier take back motor ,prop and undercarriage : difficult to fly without all those devices ....

Here the only picture of the Nennig C 3 I know.

So Skytrain ,congratulation ,you have the control

Thanks Richard. An excellent challenge, which is what this forum is all about. I don't think I would have got there without your clues, and a bit of guesswork!

I am still tied up with work so Open House.

I think you're right John; in fact I suspect it's LM's "Aussie Tempter" as mentioned in posts 6797/8 on Page 340.

I'm a bit puzzled though, because when I got in early this morning there was a new overnight Challenge from RR, luckily I didn't have time to pursue it because when I just logged-in at lunchtime, it seems to have vanished altogether! Perhaps it had already been used, so he took it down?

I didn't see the RR challenge. Confused over the Lightwing tho found another image thatrefers to it as the SP-6200 and there seems to be 2 fuselage profiles. No doubt we'll know more when LM logs in...

Anyway off to yet another meeting...

catch you later

John

Well done John.

It's actually the 6200, and I think the 6000 is the one with the slightly different fuselage profile.

in fact I suspect it's LM's "Aussie Tempter" as mentioned in posts 6797/8 on Page 340.
It had to be didn't it!

John has declared Open House, but if you're still on line mate, throw us another.

Mmmmm....

Looks like a 3-cylinder engine - not many of those around.

An Anzani perhaps?

Bonjour à tous

I think it's an Icarus (or Ikarus) from Yougoslavia ,designed by the Austrian Mickl .
I know the very similar H 8 (1929) .
This could be the H 9 (early 30 ' ) but it's only a guess

Evening guys.

I was thinking that it could be the Pander Light Biplane (possibly the Type E)? althought there seems to be detail differences in the tips of the lower wings and the trailing edge of the rudder, so maybe a Type D.

Haven't got much time to delve now, so good luck, and the usual OH in the remote case of it being correct.

TC

Actually in the interst of moving this along... it is a Pander, but which one?

Thanks Martin. I'm well. Yourself?

Not really a silhouette but the best I can do while travelling

I was thinking about this today. What do you guys think of in addition to silhouettes and line drawings we start adding photos, cutaways, cross-sections, etc.? In particular I was thinking of AviaQuiz style photos. The beauty of this I thought was that even aircraft as common as dirt can be challenging to recognize if viewed from unusual angles. That way we don’t have to look for that unknown aircraft at the bottom of the shoebox in the middle of the
Simpson Desert. It might also entice new players who find silhouette construction daunting to become more active?

Just a thought.

A Seamew???? And yes, I'd go for it. I like the idea of "bits" of aircraft rather than the whole. RR
