Hi Graeme, F-86D? I think I can see a hint of a radome with an intake under it and I think the airbrakes look about right too.

Great stuff, but don't make a habit out of pics like that, I find this thread hard enough!!

This is the last image I have saved at the mo, so I obviously have work to do.

No, but I do seet it!

Now, a clue.......er......

This was a rival design for a civil and a military requirement and the winning design initially was offered with either two or four engines, but was most commonly seen with four (no, not the Lancaster )

Is that describing the Lockheed Jetstar? So we're looking for a rival design from around 1956?

Hi Graeme...we've actually had it nice and sunny for the last few days....the snow has just returned this morning! The timing for watching the Olympics isn't too great although I manage to catch the highlights from time to time. Needless to say the news here is full of a certain gold medal performance....the rest of the time the commentators praise our skiers for coming 29th out of 30 or something like that!

How's things down under?

Oh..so so mate. Expecting a sunny 29 deg.C tomorrow. The Winter Olympics is very foreign to me, having only seen snow twice. How we win anything over there is beyond me, unless all the competition fall over just before the finish, which happened once.

Well it looks like HD may be constructing a post elsewhere on the Forum.

But I think you've got Gold with the Fairchild, Ken. Now be humble and gracious on the podium mate, nothing too difficult with your next one, OK?

OK. If not I'll try in the morning.

Night!
