I'm not sure I really got it...the J-3 Cub was mentioned much earlier on. All I did was work out the registration from the reference to 2005...figured it had to have been at a Russian event, so looked at the list of participants for the MAKS 2005 Airshow at Zhukovsky!
Certainly an interesting challenge RR...there are so many Piper Cub look-a-likes out there!
Open House as am out and about today.

As I said earlier, it is odd that RA-3361K appears as two airframes. One with 2-blade prop, in "J-3 config" and this cowling, and then again with a "sharper" cowl, as an "L-4", and 3-blades. I'm certain the Russians are "generous" with their allocation of the registration! Although J-3 was mention it was in relation to Piper, which this is not and in fact has some very subtle differences. Some Russian sites refer to it - but I haven't a clue what they say. As I mentioned, it is featured as a separate type by Janes.
Other pictures appear on airliners.net. Search the reg. You are right. It was at Zhukovsky in 2005, where I took took the image.
Enjoy your day. RR

Hi LM. The General Atomics Altus UAV?
(I can't imagine Jane's giving anything away for free.)
In order to access the Janes site, can you confirm that a subscription is required, or is there a way in without doing so?

1) Current challenge.
How about the Turkish TIHA?
2) Previous challenge.
That was a real horror of a challenge. It is the first time that I have seen the answer come from teamwork. Well done RR.
