Looks like summat by Matra ??

Edited to say; taking a ten minute break and having quick look, I think it's the twin engine, single-prop Matra R-75

Again to add link

Thanks RR, it's partly a reasonable memory for odd shapes, and partly figuring out where LM has been poking around (websites that is) !!

Just shutting down, thought I'd logged out but seen light is still on.

"Earth powered" ...."Earth powered" ??
Note the Capital E mate!

Don't all aircraft without engines or power therefrom ultimately wind-up going downhill 'coz of gravity.

Off now, back soon

All I can think of, looking at its' likely age, is "thermal" or "slope" soaring.

Hope you bought some poison at the supermarket on the way home.

Where the is everyone else.........?

This Lightning has lost radar lock!

I'm back, but they were fresh out of poison

We in the UK all remember the year this Sport Glider first flew in a Southern European country as one of great inactivity!

Issa sumfink to do with the word "breeze" ?

Is this connected to your last challenge at all?

Does Wasserkuppe ring a bell?

Sorry mate, my sodding connection keeps dropping, not connected with my last challenge, nor Wasserkuppe

If it helps and I'm sure it won't, that suggestion of Breeze means absolutely nothing to me!

Have you got the country yet? only fifteen larger in Europe!

Not that many aircraft manufacturers there, but the engineers from one of them helped with the building of this and other gliders on an amateur basis, saying The work was done in the evenings - after school, after work.

The design engineer Hermann Winter was there in 1925 (before his career at Fieseler) the country is now obvious!

They named their gliders after military "National Heroes", Vekilski, Drang, and Toprakchiev, the first of these is the challenge machine.

These Gliders don't appear in the wiki list of aircraft produced by this fairly well known company, but they are shown on a Russian website (just love that 225, an elegant giant!) and others, they're listed under the company name and the UK's "striking year"!

Well, there should be enough there to goggle your way to the challenge, but this won't be helped by the fact that the underlying text is not in english, as witnessed by the translation of the challenge's page, which reads as total gibberish!!

Just nobody about!!

To summarise the clues (Three steps to success)!!

Checkout the clues in red (the company/country will come from the second highlight)

Welcome home skytrain and thank you 'coz I'm going to be pretty busy today!!

It is indeed the Bulgarian DAR Zdravka Sport Glider of 1926

I don't know if you've tried to make sense of the translated entry on the airwar site. I know I began to regret choosing it when it came to extract meaningful clues that would come up in a goggle search without resorting to Russian!!

Thanks Sinco...yes, some of the Airwar translations are "interesting" to say the least

Here's a quick one to think about:
