Good evening gentlemen,
Apologies for absence!! This is the first time since yesterday that I've managed to get past the log-in page, no internet at all yesterday and very slow and unreliable today, the goos news is that at last they've admitted to a line fault and an engineer will be calling Tuesday pm.
Skytrain; you said it was American, but not in Aerofiles, so could it be the Cicare CH-14 Aguilucho ??
On the basis that my broadband router has restarted twice since I logged in a few minutes ago. I must reluctantly ask for an open house if this answer is correct, as there's no way I can consider uploading and monitoring a challenge like this. The router won't even restart without my intervention!

y router just restarted while I was adding my edit and you beat me to it with your judgement, I can't blame the router really as BT admit it's a line fault. I hope to have it fixed soon, but for now it will have to be Open House, sorry guys! Go for it Reg, or "sleeve" as LM would say if he was here!
Gone and back again, noticed I'd made a typo making Reg a clergyman, but only just been able to correct it. I'll try and stay online, but if it goes and I can't get online again as yesterday, my light will have to "Time-out"!

Yes Skytrain, it is the Harry Houdini's Voisin Biplane, bought in England, in their first flight in Australia.
I am not well enough versed to say whether that was the first motorized flight in Australia, first sustained motorized flight there, or just Harry Houdini's first flight in Australia, but the picture says "first flight in Australia". Maybe there is some controversy on the subject, too....

The background is some kind of spectators balcony, like in sports arenas. Maybe something to do with aerobatics or air circus.

Flipping the picture gives a better picture of the original (I suppose), but still in difficulties. Let's see.......
Not sure it it helps, although it has revealed whats left of the tail of the original (but its been so altered I don't think it would help). To confuse matters further the original was a high wing machine!

May it help to assume that this is from the USA and that the original is in Aerofiles? At least I cannot figure out any other nation imaginable producing an idea like this

It is from the US and both this aircraft and the original from which it was adapted are mentioned in Aerofiles.
Edit, I was thinking...in its "flipped" form with the upper landing gear removed it would like a crop sprayer....that won't help you at all, but just an observation!

Only time for a quick look at coffee break.
I think its the Murphy "Over-and-Under" made from a Taylor E-2 ??
No picture in Aerofiles and no time to look, so it's Open House please if correct, as I'm not going to have much time to spare today.
