QF mandates Vaccine
What is the point of the mandate now? There is rock solid data out from everywhere in the world that mRNA vaccinated individuals catch Covid and pass it on at least at the same rate as the unvaccinated. The only person you are protecting by being vaccinated is yourself. That’s undeniable.
How is your own personal risk profile of any concern to anyone else?

Facebook. Youtube.Alan Jones. Etc.
Don’t count as Data, let alone “Rock Solid” Data.
Clearly the companies ( the other mob will follow this week ) have the support of the guvmint so you can jump up and down all you like, you won’t change a damn thing. The triumvirate can’t have a meaningful conversation with each other so forget that recall. Looks like walking away from it or just bending over and copping where the sun doesn’t shine. My money is on the second option.

Because entering another country will have conditions stipulated on the visa for entry of non Citizens.

It's significant protection from severe illness and death.
apparently I don’t have enough posts to attach a link and also I’ve only known you for 10 minutes so I sure as hell ain’t doing your homework assignment for you..
search “Vaccines don’t protect against infection or transmission” on google..I found articles by AP, Reuters and NY times with references in 2 minutes from July

I don’t think the issue is catching covid as such, it’s sitting next to some drongo like yourself that is hell bent on not getting it, because they read something on Google without having the necessary qualifications to actually analyse it properly.
There are some big questions facing employers coming up including their obligations under workplace health and safety legislation.
Given that pilots are exposed to significant numbers of people at work (crew bus, airport terminals, security lines) and are in close proximity to people (cabin crew, general public when paxing, etc), I don’t think it would be unreasonable for an employer to insist on vaccines to ensure that an employee’s risk to severe health complications arising from contracting COVID in the workplace are minimised.
Full approval for Pfizer is going to come next week. So what are all those who now say “the vaccines only have emergency approval!” going to say then?
”The government was pressured by the globalists and big pharma to approve their rushed vaccine” is my prediction.
That’s a bit of a middle ground fallacy. There aren’t two sides in the vaccine debate that have equal points of view that need to be listened to, there’s the overwhelming bulk of medical science on one side and dubious quacks and charlatans on the other.

when all you’ve got is a hammer…
We are all going to be infected eventually, there's no way to prevent it, that's a given. If you have not been vaccinated yet then do all you can not to be infected, you have a 1 in 3 chance of longcovid and from personal observation in some cases is worse than the disease, 12 months on we are still living with it.

I think it's brilliant that Qantas led the way as far a big business goes. Fingers crossed this starts a domino effect and all business go down the same path. Too bad if you don't want to get the jab.....no job for you then. Why anybody would not want to get vaccinated is beyond me. I guess it's an indication of the privilege and entitlement seen in society these days. There is literally no argument not to get vaccinated.

You say that we’re all going to get it eventually, but if enough people are vaccinated, the chances of ongoing infection reduces and eventually we could potentially rid of it to the point that it becomes a rare virus.

I agree with your sentiment but getting jabbed isn't exactly bending over and copping it.
It's significant protection from severe illness and death.

The conversation generally goes like this:
a) Science and experts say vaccine is safe and effective
b) But I googled “vaccines don’t work and are unsafe”, here’s the article that came up, must be true
a) That’s written by a journalist
b) But I found one doctor who agrees with it
a) The large majority (99%) of doctors, biomedical scientists and epidemiologists don’t agree with that one doctor
(this is where the transaction moves up a gear as they proceed towards child state)
b) but they’re taking away my freedoms making me get vaccinated to fly
a) No, they’re giving you a choice which is entirely your freedom to make. The problem is you don’t like the consequences of your choice.
(and now the pièce de résistance)
b) You must be in on it! It’s all a conspiracy. You’re one of the sheeple.
Don’t waste your breath. Nothing is more exhausting than trying to fill a cup that’s already full. That effort is better expended on grounding our children (and generations beyond) in science, and medicine.

With the Australian and New Zealand borders still closed for all intents and purposes, many 'down under' have yet to appreciate that the rest of the world is now realising that not getting vaccinated is now proving to be more of an attack on your liberty. I took the vaccine solely to enable me to travel abroad more freely in my own time.
