If the source is the workplace, then it absolutely becomes relevant.
There are some big questions facing employers coming up including their obligations under workplace health and safety legislation.
Given that pilots are exposed to significant numbers of people at work (crew bus, airport terminals, security lines) and are in close proximity to people (cabin crew, general public when paxing, etc), I don’t think it would be unreasonable for an employer to insist on vaccines to ensure that an employee’s risk to severe health complications arising from contracting COVID in the workplace are minimised.
