Wizz have a bit of a habit of suspending a route during peak season with it remaining bookable in the later low season... only for it to quietly disappear from the later low season as well. Sometimes, one has to take what you see on the Wizz website with a pinch of salt.

BizJet Ad-hoc ban does not come into affect until 1st June but obviously pressure on such slots now in April & May as well now.
A RYR, TOM & WZZ ran late so arrived within that window as well last night.

Some interesting arrival patterns at the moment. I presume due to high winds.

Hats off to all those in the front seat during this weather.

With the route east and then back out towards Haverhill, perhaps they were contemplating a diversion to Stansted and then changed plans?
At least 4 British Airways (A350, A321 & 2 A319s) and an Austrian A320N diverted to Stansted.

Winds and the really bad CBs around made it fun. No diversion planned just keeping ahead of the WX.

There was a massive hail storm with wind and lightning around the airport. Even though it didn’t last long I suspect it left ice from the hail on the runway that needed time to melt?

I felt sorry for any passenger walking to and from the drop off zone as much of the route has no weather protection while boarding or disembarking aircraft must have been a torrid Luton experience.

Delay warrior's note. Currently EZY to BCN, WZZ to GNB & RYR to ALC all holding in South Stands & Run-up Bay for departures. Not always the Airlines / Airports fault. Congestion / flow control upstream.

And LRT wants to massively increase movements when the airspace can’t handle today’s flights

Do they want to increase movements or passenger numbers - is movements within their gift?

Wide of the mark, London ATC can, French being French again.
Delays at other airports as well. Even MOL unhappy that they can cause so many problems.

There is runway capacity at Luton. But it needs more of the planned upgrades to the 25 Alpha hold and fast exit slipways.

Interesting the two EZY LGW divisions in the early hours this morning had to be parked on Cargo, good thing a Leipzig DHL was not due!

!
DCO plans don’t show any runway capacity increase until 2033-2036 and then only at the western end. The eastern end (25) is meant to be between 2037-2043 but who believes anything they say?

As for the French, they always seem to be on strike.

Not sure it is.

I think it's an ex-TUI aircraft en route to its new owners.

That would explain why parked around TUI area, left on a Transavia France callsign. Busy with x2 Max and a 787 getting attention as well.
