Construction update
A few pics I snapped this week whilst in and out of Luton.

New South East apron - what will be stands 101 and 102

New South East apron - what will be stands 103 and 104

Stand 42L - looks like work is almost complete, with a small patch of concrete being finished

Stand 42R - concrete being laid to allow for diagonal parking of larger aircraft

Work now started on what will be Stands 77-79 on the Northern side of the North Apron

Thanks for the update. Good to see someone else publishing update photos.
All work being done without needing planning permission, not that it would have been turned down.
I see that a scandal is brewing at the Council. A barrister, who is also a councillor and was on the planning committee for 3 years has spilled the beans. Seems the Labour committee members had been involved in illegal discussions on how to vote at planning meetings with the Council. Think 19m planning application for airport expansion, which is the correct time period. The planning inspectors won’t take this into consideration as the allegations only came out after the inquiry ended but the council is corrupt in many peoples eyes. The Labour party in Luton was put into special measures by the Labour NEC a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the update. Once all these new stands are online I submit that this will free up the overnight parking in front of the TUI hangar
medivac and the ex Monarch hangers and thus encourages Storm or Technik to move in and look after the EZY and WZZ fleet onsite rather than contracting out and sending them to other facilities?

There was a big article about Wizz on BBC1’s The One Show at prime time 7pm last week. Let’s just say it was not flattering leaving viewers with no doubts that the airline needs avoiding at all costs due to delays, cancellations and the failure to pay CCJ’s
Interesting that the broadcast came from an airport building overlooked the main apron.

This was due, to the well published, closure of Euston line up to MK for planned engineering works.
I believe half of Victoria Station is closed impacting Gatwick Express and closures of Metropolitan & Victoria tube line sections, all planned engineering works.
This is all common during holiday periods.

Super bit of journalism just using someone else's, now outdated research for a jolly to the Holiday Inn Express's bar. If they could have got some new factual information from CAA that would have been useful. Even TUI, Easyjet & BA complain about the way the courts advise judgements and who keeps a check on resolved cases figures.
I suspose that's what you pay your licence fee for.

Apart from Pabely, who is a fanboy in denial the rest of us know it is true particularly when Wizz haven’t denied they still have major problems.

Not a fan of a paid service, 'our survey' - when between which dates?
Everyone knows they HAD issues but the big question is have they learned and made things better?
I have looked at shedules for the last couple of months and things do appear alot better, they have suffered from the same problems as most with issues with French ATC and German airports, even resheduling a whole airports program to another airport and contracting in a Titan 321NEO.
Let's wait for the CAA report, if they are not making amends fair enough, if they are let's stop this lazy journalism.

You was making the same argument last year when the reports of CCJ’s were first being reported. Every report since then has highlighted the situation getting worse. Would your defence of this miserable airline have something to do with Wizz being Luton’s largest airline?

Every report is cut/paste journalism which I hate. Lazy click bate.
As I have said, let's wait for the very much overdue CAA report.
Last financials, 4.3m pax and 92% load factor across the group.
If you don't like them, don't fly them but millions do, safely at a price which is good value.
They have been flying a quite stable program recently.

None of those are financials. Quite easy to find the loss they reported for the first 9 months of their fiscal year (-351 million). I guess the Q4 (finished 31MAR) won't turn it into a profit whatever load factor they had.
Their stable program in LTN today: TIA an hour, CLJ an hour, PRG two hours, OTP an hour, TLV 90 mins, BUD five hours and a bit, BEG 90 mins, KUN an hour, evening PRG two hrs, PMI estimated three hrs, evening BUD an hour.

Wizz Air perform worst for flight delays https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65228868
So is this principally a Wizz Issue, a handling agent issue or a Luton Airport issue with its overcrowded and congested airport, seeing that most Wizz flights leave from Luton?
Wizz Air was the worst major airline for flight delays from UK airports for the second year in a row, new figures show.

Is summer 2022 performance really relevant ? Easyjet and BA were screwing up big time in S22, along with Wizzair. Recovering a business from the tail end of Covid was a one-off... I'd be much more interested in what's been happening in the last 6 months instead

Would the state-backed British propaganda network the BBC, have ran this story if easyJet or British Airways were the worst airline? I suspect not.
