So where does that leave SOU where about 95%of it's movements and pax were Flybe generated?

The old term ' eggs and one basket' come to mind.

So sad, but that is the airline business, and always has been.

Surprisingly, another flight heading to GLA and another one to EDI, as we speak.

Iím not sure if there is a little bit of time, over the next few days, for Flybe to survive short term. I cannot understand why they would not ground everything after the first impounded aircraft instead of continuing to fly. Have GLA just jumped the gun and been worried? Who knows, itíll all become clear.

What is the point of impounding aircraft as it is commonly known that Flybe does not own a single of its aircraft anymore? Do the owners cough up money in such a situation in order to get hold of the aircraft without legal proceedings?

My understanding is the debt stays with the a/c - if the owner wants it back, they'll have to pay up.

GLA have decided to move early in impounding.
The official announcement of going into administration is expected when the last flight lands.
How do Eastern or BlueIslands operate tomorrow using BE codes? Also given the collapse in business travel due to the Corona Virus hysteria, I suspect flybe failing will collapse both franchises too. They can’t operate with no booking engine as every booking comes via flybe.com or the app and the public know flybe has failed.
They’re going to need deep pockets to get through the next month or so.

The codeshares arenít daft, theyíll have contingency plans. I know for a fact Loganair have, and have had a contingency plan for flyBe before even flyBMI went bust over a year ago.

That doesnít surprise me.

Iíd suspect this will be another Loganair situation. Aircraft will be transferred to a new airline etc. Letís be honest, all parties seem to have wanted this to be the case for a long time, they donít give the proverbial about the staff.

Very sad. But itís not over till itís over, letís hope Flybeís ďAdmin miscommunicationĒ checks out.

Otherwise, genuinely gutted to see Flybe go and my thoughts are with the hardworking staff whoíve been left in the dark for the past god knows how many years.

Yes. The owner has to stump up the cash for debts incurred by that Airframe to get it released.

Which I always find a bit of a cheap shot really. Itís not the lessors themselves accruing these debts. If they are impounding for nav and op fees incurred today for example, they would be in default but would never have been invoiced for it.
