If it really is the end, feel so sorry for all the staff .Had many flights with them over the years and the vast majority were on time. All that crap about FlyMaybe not justified IMHO.

If I'm honest... one thing stands out to me more than anything as has happened in previous airline fairlines. It's called press reporting restrictions.
There's a lot happening on social media, naturally and there's some journo's picking up on stuff there but there's a distinct lack of any reporting at any major news outlet really which may indicate that there is something due to be released formally very shortly. But may not. Nothing more than wild speculation.

LHR to ABZ cancelled
Flights to EDI, GLA and MAN all left SOU in the last 30mins.
It does seem beyond doubt though that something is up.
Sad for the front-line staff that do such a professional job, so badly let down by a succession of incapable and deluded senior management.

In fairness to fernlee, when Monarch was in difficulty a few years ago, we landed to be told that the refuellers at BHX had been told not to put fuel in our aircraft without cash in hand. A phone call to ops straightened that out and we were flying again.
Granted we only flew for another 12 hours or so, but still...

From the BBC business editor...
source "the game is up". Won't make announcement till last plane lands tonight - thought to be around 11pm. Flybe do not base any aircraft outside UK overnight therefore limited expected role for CAA.

Will the franchise carriers have access to passenger reservations to enable them to continue flying their routes I wonder?

I know for fact that one particular franchise operator already has their old system back operating in the background ready to flip over within 24hrs with new flight numbers if required.
