How? not with you on that
Looks like they're also using the Ikea shelves from the Terraces lounge.

MAN's accepted 11 or 12 diversions today including a couple of biz jets.
The only 2 from LHR were DL10 this morning and Air China 937 which landed about 16.45.
Unusually there were 4 from LCY.

MAN TP
I hear that piling work for the T2 extension is due to start on 25th January. At the same time we are likely to see shrubbery removal from the Staff West car park.

Another Lufthansa 380 called in this morning en route from Houston to Frankfurt. Last one was positioning after a presumed tech issue, but this one just seemed to do a normal turnround in Houston after arriving from FRA, and then stop at MAN on the way back as a pre-planned diversion (LH website was showing the diversion yesterday afternoon). We've seen aircraft on long westbound trips calling in for fuel due to string headwinds, but heading east is unusual as the winds tend to be favourable. I also wouldn't have thought operating on 3 engines came in to play as it was at 39,000 before descent, and they wouldn't have dispatched it from Houston with passengers in that scenario. I don't think any of the Singapore flights routing IAH-MAN were cancelled so not dropping off their pax - the only other thing I could think of was crew hours, but that also seems odd given it wasn't that late out of Houston, presumably with a crew that had nightstopped.

Interesting - I guess the likeliest reason then is that they can get to MAN with a single cockpit crew (Captain & F/O), but to get to FRA needs inflight relief crew as well, and for whatever reason they didn't have more than 2 crew available (sickness in Houston maybe?). At least they didn't blow a slide this time!

[QUOTE][One of a number of shelved expansion plans. Guess the rumoured YVR not happening now.
/QUOTE]
Sometimes, expectations are raised too high. Personally I find it better to be cautious and get the odd pleasant surprise. That said, there are supposed to be further announcements still to come for 2017?
