In some not good news, looking increasingly likely that the United route to Washington won't be returning next summer.
Have heard we will instead see a B767-300 on the EWR route, but, it's still down as a B757 so far.

The Battle of The Atlantic, revisited.
And so we see emerging a 21st Century version of the Battle of the Atlantic, in which the sprightly EU-boats of Thomas Cook, Virgin, and now Norwegian are spreading panic amongst the lumbering N-registered convoys.
The Manchester / North of England market wants, above all, value for money. That is what the three above-named carriers offer - a good product for the market at an attractive price.
Delta will now use Virgin for MAN, UA Washington is gone (slots have been pulled for summer 17), AA are increasingly becoming a seasonal carrier using outdated equipment and with poor reliability (there's no 787 next year).
One question is how BA/IAG feel about reliance on a struggling AA to provide much of their market share ex-MAN.

Hopefully Norwegian steps in where the 'majors' have neglected Manchester (in favour of London). Latest news that UA pulling Washington due "weak demand". 2 777 and a 757 daily from thiefrow wont be helping!
The numbers travelling via London are dropping just because we have such a fantastic selection of routes now even with the loss of IAD which was a very weak route even in summer

EZY routes from MAN?
Does anyone know if there are likely to be any new route announcements from MAN by EZY for Summer 2017, and if so when are they likely to be announced? Thanks, Domy Dom
