Does the BACF not position to HUY before operating HUY-ALC-HUY?
Not sure about FR CFU but most logical explanation is that they are using that turnaround to rotate a based aircraft.

The STN gets back in at 1015, without looking into it in detail I'd imagine that aircraft goes back to CFU and the CFU aircraft operates to wherever after it arrives at 0815. Might be wrong though...

Scottish airports boosted by international traffic - BBC News
Continuing growth. I'm sure the details will eventually appear on their website, but don't hold your breath..

Three British airports are ranked among the worst in the world - Daily Mail
What is Edinburgh still doing wrong? I thought they had improved. Is the GIP 'stack 'em' high' policy catching up on them.

Some of the scoring in that survey is laughable.

Not enough gates
every corner is a bottleneck
Not enough jetties
every corner is a bottleneck
Not enough check-in desks
every corner is a bottleneck
Emergency exits used as glorified gates
every corner is a bottleneck
Check-in hall is poorly lit with no natural light
every corner is a bottleneck
Check-in pods are a joke and not fit for purpose
every corner is a bottleneck
Terminal is boiling in summer, freezing in winter
every corner is a bottleneck
thats just the start,,,,,the whole building needs to be at least double in size. Rant over for now.

I've posted on here quite often about how I dislike using EDI (but having family in EDI while living in S.E. England I don't have a lot of choice). It winds me up that the Management seem hell bent on increasing the number of operators even though a lot of the time the terminal can't cope. I also particularly dislike the domestic arrival process when no airbridge is used - down the aircraft steps - walk across the ramp - up the steps to the departure lounge - walk through the departure lounge - down the steps to baggage reclaim. User friendly - not.

Having said my comment above, i do agree with these comments that the terminal is operating beyond capacity.
My point was that the situation has well improved since the security shambles last year. I was often caught in queues but now it seems to be a breeze to get through and I use the terminal nearly every week.
For me the proposed extension cant come soon enough.

Every airport has peak times when the queues are longest especially during peak seasons and at the busiest time to go through the airport. so to single out the airport on that is wrong. As a regular user I know it gets busy but that's not constant throughout the day, so it's not bursting at the seams. If you look at the numbers of aircraft movements every hour you can see the peak departure and arrival times and other times when it is below 50% of the peak levels. If you don't like it then pop on down to Newcastle or get a train, good luck.

I've always had good experiences flying from EDI but I only fly every other month so maybe I've just been lucky.
I see the moving annual total well over 12.5 million so far, any chance of breaking 13 million this year?

Oh and the airport is my anyway near capacity either. It had its peaks but plenary of quieter times too. Bring in the more direct flights.....

... the answers will be in the CAA data when it comes. I was surprised that even with the reduced weight loading and bargain prices, the first outbound 'New York' Newburgh didnt go out full to the rafters. Early in the season yet and seems its the inbound ones with full/fuller forward bookings which might be expected as most punters this side of the Atlantic wont have a clue. Advertising seems to have dropped off a bit too.
In light of this and economic /political issues for mainline carriers I think small drops would not be unreasonable in the circumstances.
