Assuming they were to start flying from another London airport...
Luton will already have six flights a day to SAS's main base in Copenhagen by next winter. Doesn't rule out other routes though.
Gatwick already has Scandinavia well covered by Norwegian. Would SAS really want to go head to head with them?
Stansted could be a possibility, better located too for flights down from Scandinavia.
London City? Not unless it was flown by Cimber.
Southend? You never know.

'Stansted could be a possibility, better located too for flights down from Scandinavia'.
Why would Stansted be deemed better for flights from Scandinavia?
Admittedly it has room for growth because too date it handles approximately 5 million less passengers each year when compared to it's peak back in 2007, but why would Luton not be considered, after all it is growing and performing extremely well which might reflect it is better positioned? And with far quicker routes to the capital than Stansted does give Luton that extra edge?

Shoehorn to get inside the terminal comes to mind once the building work starts and a third of landside terminal is fenced off.
Speaking of which, we are almost halfway through the first half of the first quarter of this year. Still no signs of any construction work starting which was meant to start this quarter.
The first job will be to remove the 100 year old trees as the dual carriageway and road alterations is part of phase one. Trees can't be cut down in the nesting season.

Re-read my post! I never said Luton wouldn't be considered. I dare say they'd consider all the airports if they were serious about it. All I'm saying is I think it would be unlikely they would do CPH considering there's already six flights a day with FR and EZY.
I was referring geographically to STN being better located for Scandinavia. Admittedly it would only be a small factor but could be an added bonus saving 5-10 mins off the flight time.
That is very debatable and isn't really a debate I want to get into again. It also depends where in the capital you are travelling to/from.
All I'll say is that STN does clearly have the longest rail journey but is still adequate and has the added bonus of running directly from the Terminal Building.
In terms of road transport, STN tends to be a better option for a large area of London, even when putting LGW and occasionally LHR into the equation. Anywhere further East than Westminster/Embankment area, you'll find STN tends to have the edge.

I wonder if La Compagnie have any measures in place to protect its passengers from Aerotoxic fumes? considering they are using 757's which are the worst offenders for this. The premium passengers that would use the service I'm sure would not want to be exposed to organophosphate poisoning.
No wonder I am daft then!

A rather interesting article and photos about the new terminal development can be found here.
£1 million pound executive lounge being developed too, I think we now know where La Compagnie will be sending their passengers before boarding.

I think some of the artist impression photos are incorrect, they must have submitted the wrong ones in the article. As they look like they are for a new shopping centre.

The plans and that artist impression (3rd photo down) shows the entrance from the departure lounge going through what is now the middle of the duty free shop. The original idea when the terminal was built was that passengers would pass along the full length of the glass fronted rear passageway that sits behind the shops.
Most of the new shops will be located from the top of the stairs, through what is now the security area and into the new build before reaching the present departure lounge. Also instead of walking is a straight line the route will be snake shaped to maximize the number of retail outlets.
I think Stansted has has just opened a similar arrangement where all departing passengers have to walk through a shopping centre first.
The airport seems to be going more up market no doubt to improve its passenger ratings.

I see the 14 large trees that sit on the route of the future dual carriageway by the midterm car park have been fenced off. No doubt they are about to get the chop so would mark hopefully the beginning of the airport upgrade.
Also in the terminal there is a small exhibition in the arrivals area that has been there maybe 6 weeks or so about the expansion of the airport. There is a list of possible future routes that I just dismissed but New York which is listed has been announced. So is this a wish list or routes under negotiations?
The full list is as follows:
Oslo
Stockholm
Dubai
Islamabad
New York
Orlando
Cancun
Jeddah
