On flying overhead and climbing over south Luton its starboard side (outer wing) was releasing a spray or vapour approximately 15ft from the wing tip end.
No pilot speaking. Probably a small amount of fuel from the expansion tank. On a hot day, the fuel will expand a fair amount and can overflow. If I am correct - then this is a perfectly normal part of operations and the aircraft is designed to work in this way. There is no danger.

It may be a cargo flight, but the ATP to Guernsey is still technically a scheduled service departing at 0600ish every weekday morning.

Assuming it might be Jet 2, what is their winter charter orogramme, principally ski destinations?

It would be great to see a wider year round Jet 2 programme at Luton. Aren't they planning to open a South East presence or have I made that up?

Doesn't necessarily mean the money will stay in AENA for investment - maybe the Spanish Government has other things to do with the money raised.

Old figures?

Nothing new in these figures (#800), LGS6753 - their appearance on the CAA's website was reported by gilesdavies on 23 May (#754), and that was some time after they actually appeared.

For some reason the CAA always re-runs the data just before the next set appears (May's figures are due out on 16th June), and Luton's movements always drop by ~1.5% when this is done. The original +7.3% had shrunk to +5.8% in the latest re-calculation, with the loss of 89 claimed movements (was 6512, now 6423).

Seems to happen month after month too, but I don't know why!

I am sure the money for expansion was always coming from AXA private equity who from memory hold a 49% stake in the airport.

I would be disappointed if work has not started by this November. It will be interesting what the first job will be.
