Flybe have been on and off the TLS route for many years. Firstly a daily flight with a 146 on a W pattern with BRS and when EZY came onto the BRS route they fled. Since then they have only treated it as a leisure route like their other southern french destinations with at most a twice a week summer only schedule. I can't see them serving it as a daily service like the route needs.
BMIR - BHX
So BMI to pull out of BHX, MAN and EDI then according to staff murmurings

Think the 330s going to MAEL MAN now.
Be significant if EK use it for 777s when they have their own facility in DXB unless its a 772 for stripping out ?
Some EK 77Ls and Fs please

I wonder if the EK B777's are for when the runway is closed at DXB.
Apparently EK are using the aircraft down time from the cancelled flights to run a period of heavy maintenance, therefore needing more hangar space. Therefore with the extended turn around at BHX they could have asked MAEL to take a look at the aircraft while its sat at BHX doing nothing for 7 hours.

Athens
One of Anna Aero's top routes that has remained available.
This will do well in summer and hopefully they give it a go year round.
I have not found it bookable but certainly 2-3 a week should give it a reasonable chance.

Interesting comments on the flybe thread.

More news.
Well old news really, but it's the way it is worded that is interesting.
According to the Birmingham Mail,Monarch are to double the size of it's fleet at the city's airport. However i am pretty sure what it means really is that Monarch is doubling the size of it's fleet overall, not specifically at BHX.
It will be interesting to see who wins the order for these aircraft.
I have heard that Monarch are looking at new routes for 2014 although it is unclear which airports will benefit.
OP.
Indeed interesting comments on Flybe thread.
I have heard that they are looking at tweaking it's ops at BHX,but exactly how or what they intend is unclear.
As someone pointed out before you get good news and bad news at the same time for BHX.I just hope it will come good in the end.

Would MUC be any use at once a day? I know BE can pull HAJ off with a daily only service is it the same 'market' that would use a daily service....always had MUC down as a business route and therefore a twice daily route may be more user friendly
A bit disappointing if only MUC is added, was hoping for a complete route review and not adding flights to destinations already served by other airlines.

At a guess they're going for the ski market through the winter, thr flight times may attract the odd business passenger but I'd be surprised if LH are worried, unless of course they're subbing for LH.
