Last time I was chatting to my contact at Harbour there were six potential ATC contractors still in the mix. Not sure who they are though.
I also hear from a few sources that passenger numbers are heading south at quite a rate, I wonder what plans are in place to recover the situation, I bet the marketing people are busy!

Very good Gazmo.
I must admit its very strange that just by introducing 1 extra airline in the mix that it has generated such speculation and rumour. I think we have a very interesting few seasons ahead for all 3 Norn Iron airports. Will Aldergrove passenger numbers translate into proportional profit? Will Harbour decline back to the small regional outfit that it was back in the 80's? Will Londonderry survive at all if Ryanair pull the plug now that they appear to have a growing base at Aldergrove?

Remember what happened last 2 times there was a gap created at BHD? First time WW appeared, next time EI. See what happens, I don't think BHD will die a death, not with its location, that's not saying it won't have a difficult time ahead.

There are no list of airlines. Jet2 is the only hope for BHD sun routes but they are glued to BFS due to cargo ops. And makes sense given sector lengths and bhd opening hours. Also access to car parking..
Vueling is a maybe, but given Barcelona had not been a great success for them, albeit poorly marketed in my view, I cant see them coming back.
BHD need EasyJet hugely now more than ever. And I'd question the investor attitude to BHD site in the medium termof things keep going the way that they are going. Before the usual BHD lovers dive on my comments. These are my views.
Flybe have a huge sale on with seats from £22.99, for all periods including mid term breaks and peak summer.. That should generate some extra passengers, though quite surprising that they are doing such a give away at this stage but to include peak periods smacks of desperation.... Again my view...

On the subject of Flybe sale that's fairly normal practice, they tend to be more expensive than EZY generally except in sale periods when they undercut them, the sale is across the network its not confined to BHD routes - they may be up against it but they are not about to pull out, they serve virtually every domestic route conceivable from BHD, they'll badger on unless it becomes unworkable and its worth remembering its the company strategy to pursue routes which larger aircraft operators can't make successful, and if they pull a route or two in the height of fares war don't be surprised to see them reappear when FR or whoever pull out.
And on the subject of Vueling they are a disgrace, totally disgraceful trying to get a refund from them is like pulling teeth out.

My guess for what its worth, I see according to Wiki the original sale from Bombardier was £35 million in 2003 then to ABN Amro 5 years later for £132.5 million. Which crazy deluded accountant managed to get that deal done?
I wonder what the realistic value is today? I would say its fair that its nowhere near £132.5 million!
What are the chances of ABN Amro cutting their losses now that things may be on the slide in the wrong direction and taking a hit. A new owner buying at a realistic price in todays market would not be mortgaged to the hilt and may have a bit of flexibility in what could be offered. I can't see ABN Amro wanting to give away any freebies or deals to airlines when they are trying to service such a massive debt, suppose a bit like a house owner caught in some serious negative equity.

Hahahahah! The fools! THE FOOLS! Haven't they seen the memo? All and any form of aviation is moving to BFS, the new bestest airport in the multiverse, a paradigm shift in human transportation!
Those poor, deluded Devonian clowns. Just you wait. Just wait. BFS and their new best buddies FR will put an end to this lunacy in one fell swoop come the Autumn..........or the abolition of APD.....maybe.....perhaps.......and when they do, those evil geniuses at EasyJet who've been throttling BFS and all who sails in her, had better watch out.
Yeah. That'll show 'em.
(P.s. Good news for both BE and BHD).

But the other points are indeed valid.
