And gaps will be filled with an increase in current services

All those extra seats were announced months ago, and planned into schedule. The NCL route ends in June , so unless another route gets an increase again I'd say a new one could be on the cards.

Interesting from the Flybe thread
"Winter LPL - BHD weekday rotations increase from the current 5 per day to 6 per day with weekend increases also"
So much for speculation that route would be dropped!!

That makes up to 13 flights a day to LPL from both Belfast airports, does sound a little crazy
However on a route so short it must be remembered that it doesn't take many passengers for a Dash to break even. And from a marketing side of things with so many flight times it makes it appealing to both leisure and business traveller, this may help them to steal EZY customers.
I was expecting them to fill the Newcastle gap with Doncaster or Norwich rather than increasing on a current route, however time will tell

go go BE with the go-faster stripes getting the schedule launched and on sale before EZY or FR. That makes a good change, I've been able to get my Christmas flights booked! Maybe BE are making a point by ramping up the schedule, it has done well and I guess they are going for the high frequency approach to win this particular battle. They are keeping the higher frequency on GLA/EDI and BHX/MAN - the BE lady is not for turning it seems!

I hear from my normally reliable source that NATS have been given the Air Traffic contract, wonder what changes this will bring to day to day operations? Will Harbour now adopt the anti GA policy that seems to be in place over the hill?

Sadly 3 days left on Gatwick ex BHD... Sad not only due to the loss of passengers for the airport but because Gatwick is the longest standing London route from the airport.
Brussels starts Sunday. The tragic events yesterday at the airport and subway is bound to have a profound impact on tourism to Belgium and the Brussels in particular. Will this twart Brussels Airlines new route to BHD? I hope not.
I'm off the view that with the intensity of competition on Dublin Brussels, and indeed Dublin Amsterdam with €19.99 gates etc, will this have a material impact. Clearly Brussels is not Amsterdam and Brussels Airlines is not KLM. So this will be both interesting and challenging. Brussels is not the hub that it once was and while Brussels Airlines is growing strongly, the onward connections are not intense, West Africa may be a pint of difference but that's about it.. Let's hope this goes well...

Pity Brussels Airlines cannot send updates by email... I accept that things must be chaotic and challenging. There will be do few using this service in either direction on Sunday. I have booking on the first one to BHD...
