Yes. When it's working fine it is very good. The cabin air ducts are far too noisy though.
If you firewall a Q4 you should get circa 6,300shp, (125% torque) Normal limit for Flybe's a/c is 4,500shp (90%) for engine and main spar life.

Noise levels! Positioned on a Q4 my ears were ringing lot louder than Q3 dont know why???? But hell of a lot quieter than Saab 340 no idea what 2000 is like!
E145 7800 lbs thrust in each and hell of a lot quieter in the cabin and with present seats most comfortable and most leg room in the flybe fleet! Granted you have to duck to get into the seat But once your there better than a Virgin 747!

Back to the subject of routes, it look as though Flybe have finally bowed out of GWY. All reference has disappeared from website and flights no longer bookable. Can anyone confirm if this is a glitch or is is true?
Galway was a strange choice for Flybe particularly given RE's presence there and loads to/from BHD at least were always very light.

Is it me or are Flybe aiming to wipe out any new routes that Blue Islands start from GCI? Blue Islands were about to start flying Dublin (albiet indirect) and then Flybe announce they are introducing GCI Dublin flight.
Blue Islands start a schedule from GCI to Paris (OK Beauvais!) and then Flybe start a Paris route shortly after!
Good from passengers point of view for ticket prices at the moment as Flybe is only £29.95 each way but I can't help but wonder what will happen to fares when Blue Islands are forced off the route!

I guess in the long run we will see a similar scenario in the UK as we have it already in Germany and France.
In Germany, Lufthansa has brought literally all former independent regionals together under the Lufthansa brand, be it through franchise deals or outright purchases (e.g. Eurowings, Cirrus, Augsburg, Contactair). The rest has been wiped out with only two exceptions (OLT, Intersky). Same is true for France where Air France has acquired airlines like Régional, Brit Air, CCM, Proteus. Regional airline traffic in the UK will probably become the domain of Flybe with only some extreme niche carriers like Highland surviving on their own. I guess Eastern, Blue Islands and to some extent also Air Southwest and Aurigny are quite vulnerable.
Difference of course is that in Germany and France the flag carrier has done the job, while in the UK it is Flybe and not BA.

Its called you lesson. BCI started GCI SOU upsetting BE solus route monopoly. BE lesson is that you step on our turf & well step on yours with size 10 boots with hobnails. Its a big lesson to all the smaller regionals . Next victim 3W, then GR. Watch out for the IOM JER in Oct using EMB.. In a years time UK regional skys will all be blue and white except Eastern, Highland, Skybus; and ASW. LogieBear did it the easy way

I'm still convinced BA will get hold of flybe in the future, then they get to dominate the regions and make money without all the horrible overheads and problems that they had before. Same routes, same staff !!, new aircraft, cheaper handling, lower overheads and higher yields.

What would be Flybe's next destinations ex CWL...............BOD, EGC, DUS ?
Any thoughts ?

Latest Q400
The latest Q400, which was to have been G-ECOD is reported to have been delivered yesterday as G-KKEV.
What odd's this will have a Kevin Keegan portrait added, in the style of the existing George Best and Matt Le Tissier aircraft, and find itself mainly on the NCL-LGW route?
Just a little idle speculation.............

I am led to believe G-KKEV is planned to begin revenue service out of MAN on Thursday morning.
As for the change of registration. New NCL base would have a lot to do with it I expect
