NOVEMBER STATS
I just want to go back to the discussion on the November 2007 stats which took place on page 65. At that time the pax figures were shown as 6.9% down on the previous November.
The CAA stats have now been updated and the missing BHD and BRS figures have now been posted with the result that the fall has now been reduced to -0.7% still giving us a 4.7% rise in pax number on the year to date.

Looks like that OB flight could be ItAli Airlines - the Air Bee website has the ItAli logo on and I would presume they ae using ItAli's AOC and maybe aircraft until they get their own sorted out

AirBee of Italy is using code FS.

Could the code be 0B? If so it is Blue Air of Romania, quite possible as they have quite a large operation out of Italy!?

The EZY Murcia route is scheduled as an A319 route.

The new reported Capital Investment into Eastern for expansion may prove interesting.

Not much of a surprise really. I mentioned this afew weeks ago when EK announced the cancellation of the HAM-JFK leg.

I'm guessing it will be operated by CO? When do EK want to operate from BRS to US? BRS-DXB in the pipeline? Surely the runway isn't long enough?! The runway can only just satisfy CO's 752s!

Good for NCL if this is the case!

S08 Toronto the following marketing mail put out by NCL would appear to clarify the situation re YYZ / YHM for S08 :-
Canadian Affair are delighted to be back in Newcastle for another summer of direct flights to Toronto. As the only operator offering Toronto direct from Newcastle for summer 08 …..Airline partners Air Transat newly refurbished fleet of Airbus A310 aircraft means will enjoy a short flight to Toronto with more economy legroom than before.
So there you have it, presumably just the usual 1 x Wkly ?, surely this must attract a high LF given reduction in capacity on route, or did GSM simply kill the market in S07

Olympic Holidays brochure shows a Jet 2 Rhodes flight on Wednesdays. I assume this is a charter as opposed to a scheduled loco flight

Could be charter, or they could have bought seats on the flight. TCX have done that with the LPA. Jet2 want to do more charter routes anyway from NCL, including long haul fom about Aug 08 apparently. Rumour mill is VERY strong with rumours of the 767-200ER arriving in Aug, apparently it will be announced in about Feb.
More importantly, as I will no doubt be operating the flights any chance u know the flight times? Im hoping its not a nice deep night flight but I know it prob will be.

Olympic brochure gives a 1515 departure and 0045 arrival. Operates from 21st May to 8th October.

If they are just buying seats on the flight then Jet 2 had better get it on sale themselves soon. That what makes me think its a charter. (As a side note Olympic are taking seats on Jet 2 scheduled services from LBA)

Jet2 have previously offered charters from NCL, both regular series and adhoc. I seem to recall that a few winters ago they operated a regular LYS charter onbehalf of a ski company!

Olympic may well charter LS to operate HER, as they are planning to use MYT 0900 tuesday service which is a non-op!

Wonder if the Jet2 charter to RHO will be 73 or 75?

Edit

Can't find LS RHO service on Olympic website?

Jet2 757

when i worked out the timetable a few months ago there was no flying for the 757 on a wednesday and sunday.

somebody said that JET2 would add flights to HER, RHO and SSH so maybe they are going on sale with RHO!!?

good news anyway

p.s happy new year everyone!

The 1 based 757 will be flying on a wed but will only be flying the morning upto now, so the RHO fits in nicely in the afternoon, if you can get the flight number it is easy to tell if its chartered. Most NCL flight numbers are LS5XX (except LGW which are the old Dan Air numbers, LS101-108)
A charter is usually LS2XXX or LS6XXXX

The Olympic website appears not to have been updated, so at the moment I'm guessing flight numbers are not available. With all the mergers and consolidation of charter flying, this summers programme will not be confirmed or released until pretty late (I'm presuming!).

Good work for Jet2, starting charter flying for tour operators - makes sense to use aircraft more heavily!

Things could have changed since the brochure was released of course, but they must have intended to use Jet 2 at one point if they no longer plan to use them

Possibly Jet 2 were planning scheduled NCL-Rhodes flights and Olympic were to take seats on them, but then Jet 2 changed their minds and Olympic dont want to have to charter a whole aircraft to themselves?
