Sanjo BGY

Sorry to go back a bit but no the BGY has not been dropped Sanjo. In fact it is doing very well 3xweek with good load factors. Flew on it myself a month ago BGY is so well placed for Northern Italy right on the A4. The town of Bergamo is nice well worth a visit in its self.

Bergamo is a great short break destination, which must be a reason why the loads are holding up (if not the yields - theres a lot of 1p flights available). The times are appaling, arrive in BGY at 2350 which means if you are heading to Milan its going to be a late night.

I hope the route has a future, especially as it is now NCL's only all year round scheduled flight to Italy. It has been messed around quite a lot in its three year history - once a week, then daily, then 3 times a week with good times, and now 3 times a week with very late arrival at BGY.

Ryanair Summer 2008

Summer routes on sale now, similar times and same frequency as summer 2008 including MILAN.

Still nothing more from Jet 2 for summer 2008, wonder if the groups profit warning will have any effect on routes both current and possible future routes.

We have been hearing that for about 8 weeks now "expect an annoucement this week" and yet again.. .nothing!
This could all fall in to line with the rumour that the 767s fell through and that we are leasing one for NCL for summer from an icelandic company

Dont forget this is all rumoured, The lease idea might fall in with the rumour that the GF 767s fell through. But you never know, its Jet2... like every airline they give nothing away till the last minute

Yes but wouldn't that mean that Ryanair will actually be flying to somewhere that they were advertising!

Surely they will have to base themselves at Teeside Airport and then advertise it as Newcastle!!

'Teesside' tut, tut.
Durham and Tees Valley International please! (stop laughing now)

But think FR would be more likely to use Carlisle as the real Newcastle, the current terminal is much more in line with their 'no frills' policy.

Air Berlin..................... now there's a rapidly expanding airline.

Anyone who's been to Palma lately will not what I'm talking about.

Talk about airport occupation. (Oops, wrong phase when talking about zee german airline! ). I meant to say, they appear to have the majority of the airport movements .
