Easy
But the Vienna will stop in November with Easy.
Interesting decision to move it to Gatwick as this week i tried to book a Flight on this route and it was full(sold out) for 5 consecutive days.
So bums on seats isnt a problem.Do you know if they might do a summer only service from LTN?

Giles
Vienna looks like its only a bus from Bratislava.
Comments about Sky were based on travelling with them.Their c/c and staff in general have always been excellent , even knowing the problems they had.Now certain people have left it is just possible they will turn the corner.
We lost Silverjet, who IMHO had great staff and service.Would be a shame if Sky go the same way.
In this day and age its the smaller airlines going just that little bit further with service that hopefully will succeed.

I think you could also add Belfast City to those lists operated by BRAL sometime in the 90s. Am surprised FR haven't tried Belfast City from Luton.

Went through the airport this morning at 6am and can confirm that the queue of traffic for the terminal extended all the way onto the A505.

I predicted here weeks ago that the traffic lights in the CTA would make a bad situation worse and that is exactly what has happened. Getting to the terminal for an early morning flight is now a total nightmare.

I find it staggering that the airport was advised to install these lights by a traffic management company who seem to know nothing about traffic management.

It can now only be a matter of time before the traffic flow into the drop off area is reversed.

I see Monarch are flying LTN-FUE once weekly this winter.
Was I looking the other way when that was announced?

I see that after only 4 months since it was opened that the A505 Airport Way is now down to a single lane leading AWAY from the airport as major roadworks kick in. It is just like old times when trying to reach the M1 in the morning and evening rush hours.

Reported on BBC look east at 7am this morning, queues of two miles on the A505 leading in to the airport!
I guess the airport management team don't start work until 9am so have no idea what is going on or have now run out of money to correct their massive cock up.

cta

Just noticed whilst booking with Wizz that they have added a Passenger advice box (which you have to tick to confirm you understand )regarding the new road layout /drop off area.
Evidently they now open the check in desks two and a half hours before departure.
Hardly a good endorsement.

Grrr

How long before Ryanair come begging? Loads of planes coming and no one wants them on the basis that they want free (or you pay them) to fly from your airport?

One can only wonder what Mr Meeson said when LBA announced a Ryanair base at his H.Q!

Still bizarre that MAG did not want Ryanair at Manchester, but Happy to have em' at Hurn and Castle Donington?

There's a rumour going around that Air Berlin is the latest operator to be looking at moving to Bedfordshire from Essex Rural.

There is a question about capacity at 0700-0800, when there are several AB arrivals. However from 0600 we have 3 - 4 FR departures, 10+ EZY net departures (14 departures and 3 - 4 arrivals), plus Thomson/Monarch departures, offset by 8 - 9 Wizz arrivals, 2 Sky Europe and a Transavia. In my opinion that makes it feasible, but what do I know?

best turn the traffic flow at drop off to a sensible direction before encouraging even more traffic
