As far as I am aware the Manchester to Geneva flight this winter is a STN aircraft
on a W pattern but I think that changes for the summer but that has not been confirmed yet

The Manchester summer Geneva is definitely a Liverpool originating
aircraft as the timings match 100%.
As for bhx there is a glimmer of hope, as I have checked the whole
GVA schedule and based on 9 aircraft there is a spare sector(s) at
at exactly the same times the bhx operated this summer.
However I suppose it could be for a new route which has yet to be
announced but you never know.

Flybe Summer 09
After the cuts announced by Baby and Easy last week, its good to see that Brest, La Rochelle, Toulouse and Bergerac have survived as routes from BHX for Summer 09 with Flybe (haven't checked frequencies). No sign of Newquay (no surprise) and it seems all other routes remain from current Winter schedule as well as previously announced Dubrovnik and Split
Press Release says more "exciting" new routes to be launched next week......we will see if this includes BHX.......

flybe
There is a bit of shuffling of the pack with the flybe routes.
Hanover goes from seven to nine a week, double daily Wed & Thur.
Jersey goes from double daily to triple on Mo, Fr & Sun and four on a
Saturday.
The 195's in the morning change from DUS to MXP (both flights 195)
and EDI to GLA.
The lunchtime EDI is an EDI based 195.
The lunchtime BHD is just Fridays I think in the week (was Mo/Th/Fr).
The major point of course is no 145's. Overnighting are eight Q400's
and 2 x 195 plus the DUS nightstopper working through.
Monday evening like winter but unlike last summer sees no EDI, GLA,
ABZ or BHD operating by the based aircraft, which mean at present
they finish at about 18.30.
Lufthansa are showing the CR7 on the DUS again next summer after
it was downgraded this week to the CR2.
The last time I looked SAS was showing a 2 x CR9 in the week for
next summer. On the same note their first SAS CR9 was delivered either yesterday or the day before with a bhx start date on the evening on 15/1/09. The RJ85 stays on the morning flight until the end of winter.

KLM
WW1018
As revo has stated a few due over Christmas but the KL timetable
changes so often you never know.
I have checked selective dates from Jan - Sept and found no 190's.
The summer schedule is still showing six flights (five in July/Aug) but
a pretty good increase in capacity. Virtually every flight is upgraded
but you have to remember things change fast with KLM.
April, May, June Sept showing
First out 738 winglets upgrade from a mix of 733/734 (occasional 738)
Second out 737 winglets upgrade from F70
Third out 739 winglets upgrade from 733/4/8 (occasional 739)
Fourth out F100 upgrade from F70
Fifth out 738 upgrade from 733/734/73W
Sixth out 733 upgrade from F70/F100.
If these operate as published then quite a few extra seats.

BMI Baby summer 2009
Finally adjusted their timetable a week after announcing their cuts.
However the cuts mentioned are only part of the package. A brief
check in June shows: -
The five aircraft are busy but most only do six sectors
and some days six are required so I assume more flights
to be cut. This is June will check April later
ABZ - same as now but less than summer 2008
ALC - six a week in June then daily in July
AMS - Same but re-timed 1610 departure which is better
BCN - From 7 a week to five no Tues or Wed flights
BFS - Weekdays double daily Mo-Wed & three Th & Fr
ORK - Same as summer 2008 daily
EDI - Reduced to double daily Mo-Fr
FAO - Same three weekly four in July/AUG
GLA - Reduced to double daily Mo-Th - Friday just one!!!
NOC - same as summer 2008 daily
AGP - No Monday service to July, no extras PM in July/AUG
MJV - 5/6 a week to two a week!!!!!!!!!
NCE - Daily as 2008
PMI - Daily as 2008
PRG - Reduced to 4 a week from daily (Mo/Fr/Sa/Sun)
This is just one date in June on the whole so it will be different
in April & May etc.
So the domestics finally get chop frequency wise but flybe have been
getting the better loads % wise and comparing prices and fuel burn this
decision can't be knocked ever how much we don't like it.
Murcia is a tad disappointing as Monarch have reduced from daily
to four a week and FR is only three weekly at the moment.
I can't make five based work most days so there could be more cuts.

Ryanair
Seen this online
Ryanair, Europe's largest low fares airline, today (10th Dec)
confirmed that it will close all of its routes to/from Fuerteventura
from 31st January after local tourism group AIE failed to honor the
commercial agreement it entered into with Ryanair to promote
Fuerteventura as a tourist destination.
This means - I believe - The 3 weekly Ryanair flights to Fuerteventura will cease on 31st January

RED WINGS
Ryanair have fallen out with BHX before and I sure the airport management will try there best to ensure this does not happen again.
Ryanair will base 2 more units at BHX shortly making 6 and intend incresaing this to 10-12 in the next year or so.
Unless you know somethings we dont, Ryanair are committed to BHX (and vise versa)
