It wont be long now until VLM is absorbed into the Cityjet operation, given that they are owned by AFKLM I can see rationalisation on some routes - AMS springs to mind immediately as I think between them there is about 15 flights each way every day by KLM & VLM, this would free up slots for ABZLCY, as for RTM havent got a clue.
VLM is to keep it's identity and it's base on the continent. I'm guessing the airlines will have a very similar service onboard and maybe the F50 will be fased out to be replaced by more jets. Will probably see airline operate independantly for quite some time as the VLM is a very respected name in North West Europe.

Esbjerg 20th

I can recall as a young lad when Business Air started ABZEBJ, I think went via DND to start with - 7th Apr sees the 20th anniversary.

Hard to believe!

bmi R say it is the longest running route between Scotland & Scandi - I thought that honour would go to SVG, but I guess bmi mean operated by the same airline, even though it morphed from II to bmi!

Speaking of Scandi, any progress on a replacement OSL route, anyone know? All gone quiet on that front for now.

Also Q re the Eastern Airways hangar - I think CHC Scotia are storing helis in it presently, so have T3 leased it out meantime?

Ta.

Just a quick one, but considering that Ferrovial are financially in the poo, will this effect any or all of the BAA grand plans for the airport?

Scheduled to be a Boeing 737-400. Shame to see the BA boeing leave.

Does BA use any 752s on the LHR run?

I doubt you'll see any BA boeings in ABZ any more as the 75's can't operate out of T5, maybe the occasional 767 that appears from time to time though. Then again, BA could be back in T1 again soon

757

There has been at least one 757 a day over the past few months.
Not sure about the summer schedule though.

BA only moved to T5 a few days ago, as I said, the 757's will not operate from T5, so you won't see them again in ABZ as from a few days ago.

This to clear the backlog of baggage?

See the VLM RTM flights appears on the BAA site, but of course there are no flights yet, & nothing on the VLM site.

As has been said, slots don't always = flights.

Of course it is an April Fool

The Runway in Aberdeen is not big enough to handle a A330
