- Q2 results below expectation, despite high cabin factor and ancillary sales. Lower than expected ticket prices.
- Norse has credit claims on 155 million USD of which 41 million from flights not yet flown.
- Norse expects positive result Q3 and year 2025.
- Q1 they lost 680 million (NOK) and has lost billions since the start in 2021.
- Talk with a potential investor resulted in no agreement. The reason given is the investor said no to entering the long haul market. It's unknown who the potential investor was.

I'm not sure if it would be wise to consider switching jobs right now?
I wish Norse the most success because I do believe long haul low cost is possible.

[QUOTE=LOWI;11691579]Unfortunately, a lot of social and worldwide media are reporting negatively about Norse's performance this year thus far.

Low cost long haul has never worked and never will.
Too reliant on third party operators.

I've no idea of Norse are going to fail ( I sincerely hope they don't ) but recruiting people is not a sign that an airline isn't in trouble. Countless airlines have gone bankrupt while recruiting heavily, I myself lost a job when the airline went bankrupt while working my notice period to start. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to rescind my notice either

Financial issues aside, has anyone recently done the assessment process? Just got an email with links to a psychological assessment/interview with an external company and not sure what to expect. Cheers.

I wish them the best but the business model seemed to be based mostly on hope? What has changed significantly since MK I became MK II?

I met a crew down route in EZE in Norse’s previous incarnation. Lovely people, good product but I couldn’t work out where the cost savings were coming from. 787s expensive to buy/lease and not that reliable (especially with the RR engines), pilot salaries not that much different and I think the cabin crew were the same or better. Same hotels, same landing fees, same fuel prices, same navigation charges, etc. but cheaper tickets. No better utilisation as LH and at the mercy of 3rd party engineering, catering, check-in and so on.

PROB 30 TEMPO TSRA with a chance of Windshear ahead for Norse maybe? Or maybe PROB 40 . . .
Wish the best for the company. Some great chaps and chapettes working there.
